Nostradamus' C.01 Q.87: Cities of great riches become engaged in a lengthy war. This verse is included in the discussion of Nostradamus on War. Its anagrams invoke a theme of regulation and wealth which may help define the two warring rocks. In respect to this the third line of text holds the French word for two while there in an anagram of two in the second line.  Since Girona and Piraeus are cities found in the anagrams they may deliver the names of the cities that are referred to as rocksThe two cities mentioned in the text. In addition the references to the earth are  supported by the anagram for Earth in the fourth line and the anagram for world-beaters in  the scond line offers a close alliance to the earth-shaking reference in the text of the first line.   C.01 Q.87 Earthshaking fire from the center of the earth will cause tremors around the New City. Nostradamus C.9 Q.88: The poverty of the soul in the presence of depravity. Many of Nostradamus' Prophecies talk of events that are of our time not those of the sixteenth century. This verse is one of them as shown by the anagrams. It is about the hunt for clean energy sources amidst turbulent times. It also contains a commentary on the nature of the human soul in the last two lines and in particular the empty nature of humanity where humans cower in fear.   C.9 Q.88 Calais, Arras, help to Thérouanne, Peace and semblance the spy will simulate: The soldiery of Savoy to descend by Roanne, People who would end the rout deterred. Nostradamus C.9 Q.83: Death and torture to dominate the Earth in the final 21st C wars. The anagrams of the verse below sets the date for war  and adds the detail  of its gruesome nature. It contains an anagram for circus, a word suggesting a grand theatre, animals and thereby the zodiac. The reference to frostiest waters suggests a late spring or ealy autumn date. But there is also a sense that Nostradamus uses this verse to convey part of his poetic licence by which he uses varies letter to stress particular themes. The letters and sounds of war centre on the letters r and t which is consistent with the scheme proposed in Agrippa' work. (See my Cornelius Agrippa paper for more detail on how this scheme is used. The anagram for death that appears in the second line is one of only five such anagrams all of which can be seen in Death Anagram series. Nostradamus C.9 Q.75: The Paraclete (Holy Spirit) in a nuclear age. This verse is part of Nostradamus' theme of the Paraclete; it is the story of people gifted in the power of speech who hold great influence over the Christian Church. It links to the past and the future with this verse giving preliminary hints that the Paraclete to come holds sway over denuclearisation later in this century. Nostradamus C.6 Q.85: Drug and oil sources as targets for 21st C crusade. Nostradamus uses the setting of the First Crusade as an allusion for the great religious battle at the end of this century. The allusion doesn't draw on the proponents but on the attitudes of that time.
