This blog presents the fifth Sephirot Chart of Ciphers in my new war series. In this set of verses Nostradamus ciphers are those for terrorism, it includes terror, terrorists and terrorizing as well as having both English and French versions of these words. This is apt since the story lines of these verses center on these two countries.
The epoch of this set of verses is our time from the beginning of this century to beyond 2070 and it covers the life of members of a royal family whom we might think we recognize when we read the verses. However caution should be used when reading into the verses a meaning that may be unjustified.
Nostradamus treatment of this theme is consistent with other story lines and its tone is that of differentiation from anything in his time or his past. Yet terror has been present throughout the existence of living things so it is important to focus on his thoughts as much as the events he covers.
I believe his work on this topic is designed to point out that modern terror has the same origins as all terror. But throughout history its extent has been consistently masked by those with power. To their adherents their rationalizations are all that matters but in reality the actions of those labeling various acts of terror produce the same response within the group from which the nominated terrorists come. This point is crucial for reading the modern aspect that Nostradamus' verse is meant to highlight; he sees the imbalance of power as a crucial factor in fostering terrorism. Since modern weapons produce a huge imbalance in the ability to create terror within an enemy population modern terrorism is enacted on the civilian populace of those holding the greatest power.
Of course this imbalance is no excuse for barbarism but then there is equally no excuse for either side in a war for the killing of civilians or anyone else. A jet screaming overhead becomes the sound of terror in our modern world. Missiles fired by faceless pilots symbolize a terror that the powerful prefer their adherents to welcome as a greater good. And as time progresses we go to drones that can kill without any harm to those who launch them.
So our era faces terror that is not really new for one or other of the participants. But for those subject to modern weapons the newness of their terror is about scale of range, harm and impotence. These are the issues that Nostradamus verses on terrorism emphasize.
The verses gain their strength from the strong ties uniting the content of both the anagrams and the text. The text was written in a 16th century French polyglot while the anagrams are a deduction from the lettering in the text. Yes they are a deduction but they are the dominant part of an unchanging set of anagrams that can be readily seen in the lines of verse. These sets I have documented and published over the last two decades and they remain largely unchanged throughout that period.
So with the guidelines of anagram difficulty and rarity plus the links between the verses I have only a minimal amount of scope to invent the stories that emerge in the chart below.
