Centuries 2 Quatrain 20 (C.II Q.20)

Nostradamus- Centuries 2 Quatrain 20

The following verse is another of those where Nostradamus gives detail on the sect and its patrons for which his prophecies were written (See  Nostradamus Sect for more). The text has a backward looking element to a time before the prophecies when Francis I and his children were held captive and his sister Marguerite mustered the resources for the King's release.

Centuries 2 Quatrain 15 (C.II Q.15)

Nostradamus- Centuries 2 Quatrain 15

The anagrams in the following verse provide uniquely definitive detail about the events in the text. There is a hint that Nostradamus has used the meter in his verse as one way of defining  the theme of each verse. This verse  with lots of S's and T's has a staccato quality typical of verses about war. (More on this in my paper on Cornelius Agrippa)

Nostradamus- Centuries 2 Quatrain 14

The following is a curious verse since its anagrams have great internal structural  strength yet they suggest ideas that are hard to accept as part of Nostradamus' purpose. Its rare anagrams imply ancient dinosaurs, astronauts and gang-landers are involved. One possibility is that it tells the tale of Nostradamus origin as an astronaut from the constellation of Scorpio, a people who have  influenced life on this planet since the time of the dinosaurs. Even the original text holds hints of an archaeological search for a distant personage who takes over the destiny of the local people.

Centuries 2 Quatrain 13 (C.II Q.13)

Nostradamus- Centuries 2 Quatrain 13

The following verse contains one of the two anagrams of Francis and it possesses a strange quality that is consistent with my ideas on the way the story of Nostradamus' sect is encoded into the Prophecies. By its usage Nostradamus invites the reader to link him with a sect whose prime goal appears to be the revival of the bloodline of Christ. The anagrams use this visible tale from Nostradamus' past as an allegory explaining its import in our time (see below).

Extract from my website article on Francis' part in Nostradamus' sect.

My analyses of this verse begins by noting the wording in a letter by Francis' sister, Marguerite, to Anne de Montmorency. written nearly thirty years before Nostradamus penned this verse.
As for my news, the body is but too well ; but the spirit, I cannot deny it, remembers that which is left behind.... Marguerite of Navarre in letter dated 20th November 1525.

The wording by Marguerite parallels that of Nostradamus and reinforces the likelihood of it being a symbolic code representing a group of like minded people. Now Anne de Montmorency was a male friend of both Marguerite and Francis and he would become the Baron of LesBaux in 1528 which provides a connection to Nostradamus. Les Baux is one of several places able to be linked to Nostradamus through its nearness to a town in which he had lived and each of which held a passionate belief in the bloodline of Christ in France. Les Baux lies within a few hours walking distance from St Remy where Nostradamus was born. The motto of Les Baux is Au hasard, Balthazar (perchance Balthasar) and this simple saying underscores the esoteric and heretical Christ-based beliefs that have dominated this citadel . From the foundation of the settlement the Lords of Baux  claimed direct lineage from Balthasar, who they asserted was one of the attendants at Christ's birth. This provides the historic link to the nativity presented in the second line of C.2 Q.13 and its reference of the 'day of the death' since Anne de Montmorency was appointed baron to this place when Les Baux was near to its demise. Although Nostradamus no longer lived in St Remy when Montmerency ruled Les Baux I believe his connections  with events in Les Baux would have been strong. Relevantly both Queen Marguerite of Navarre and de Montmorency were considered heretics whose open support of the Protestant cause depended on Francis' good will. In a later reign Les Baux was destroyed because it sheltered Protestants and those who plotted against the Roman Catholic King.

The first line of this verse holds anagrams that say process_a_name   as_plumes_enters_Francis (ecopsSs a nsame,  sa meplus nestre e nSacrif) and the implications of these words fit to my theme. These anagrams imply the substitution of names and they help make sense of this verse as well as the words of Marguerite;  Francis as the king is the soul mentioned in the verse while Marguerite as the female carrier of the bloodline is the body in both instances. It is by these nom-de-plumes their names are concealed and this continues for Montmorency is the spirit or the guide to the King and Nostradamus is he who sees eternity via the  divine word. This rendering then changes Marguerites' words to Montmorency by revealing to him a far more earthy message: As for my news, I, the child bearer, am safe but I know you as the king's guide are concerned my mission hasn't succeeded And Nostradamus' verse becomes The child-bearer so long without the kingly child will no longer need to worry about that goal. On the death of the King , our new King, who bears the same title, will be born. It will be through the king's guide Montmorency(soul) that I,  the seer Nostradamus (revealer of the divine spirit) bring to you assurance our goal will be achieved.   In doing this Nostradamus is bestowing a meaning relevant to his own time and the era in which he lived but it forecast events that wouln't take place for decades after his death.

The peculiar phrase Day of the death put into nativity can then be seen as also relating to the oddity that on the death of King Henry III of France in 1589, King Henry III of Navarre became King Henry IV of France so when Henry III (of France) died,  HenryIII (of Navarre) was reborn as Henry IV (of France). It is the marriage of Marguerite to Henri d'Albret of Navarre that achieved this goal through her marriage in 1527 and it seems that Nostradamus may have played a part in the sect's belief that the line of Jesus would be enhanced by this union.

This connection is quite feasible for all these persons were united by physical proximity, heresy, heritage, intellectual interests and timing.

But the visible text can also be given a context based in the eternal present since it may alo allude to Nostradamus' use of the Sephirot to encode his work.
  • The body without soul no longer to be sacrificed:
Day of death put for birthday:
The divine spirit will make the soul happy,
Seeing the word in its eternity.

This can be interpreted as saying:

  •  'The text without its code no longer can be ignored for it shows how the end dates become the new beginning. That which is hidden will make people happy for it is the secret of time itself'.

There are clues to what the content of this verse reveals hidden in its anagrams but its secret is well protected and relies on a confident  resolution of lettering for which simple anagrams do not always apply. My rules for discovering Nostradamus' hidden code are unrelenting as to using whole anagrams for reliability but they are not the final determinant of what he wrote. They are a means by which I can know that what I find is not a fantasy. Words used in any person's writings are often simple, not complex, and most  are common, not rare. In this verse the reader will see words of mainly very rare occurrence that relate to the theme I suggest underpins its meaning and these include 'immortals', 'monetarism 'procesS', 'relevant', 'internet','infuriated','female' and 'annuities'. This unusual mix of words complies closely to my rules and they occur alongside others  that though seemingly meaningful have no means of better validation. And through the totality we glimpse themes of monetary turmoil, ancient gender inheritance conflicts and secrets of Nostradamus' code. So although these parts have to  be rated as low level contributions until other verses reinforce them their existence together offers an inescapable framework for this verse. I repeat the anagram section below for the purpose of easier reference.

Centuries 2 Quatrain 1 (C.II Q.01)

 Nostradamus- Centuries 2 Quatrain 1

The following verse's anagrams hold a story that resonates with our current time. It is consistent with the theme of Nostradamus' text and fits well into his tale of misadventures in this century. The anagrams gives detail of the protagonists and victims, the means of starving a population and the motivations for doing so. And through its atomic relevance there can be no doubt that it applies to a modern setting.

Centuries 1 Quatrain 100 (C.I Q.100)

The Hidden Keys in Centuries 1 Quatrain 100

The following verse is one of the first in which I uncovered evidence of Nostradamus use of anagrams to build powerful links to ancient allusions. Although there is great strength in their relationships they don't make up the entire content of the verse. They are but a tool, referencing the pictures and ideas that will give detail to the present and future aspects of the verse.

Discussion of this verse from my website pages (Inundatory Gods).

The most potent line of verse concealing Nostradamus use of classical reference material is given below. It has been ignored by other analysts throughout the hundreds of years since Nostradamus’ Prophecies were published. However  I will demonstrate that what seems like an innocuous text holds great meaning via the anagrams it contains.

"Long temps au ciel sera veu gris oiseau"
"For a long time a gray bird will be seen in the sky
"
Centuries I, Quatrein 100, Line 1
An anagram is a word or phrase made by rearranging the order of a sequential group of letters in a text. My work on Nostradamus involves over twenty years of research into anagrams and their nature within his and other people's texts. The computer programs I have created allow me to state exactly how many anagrams there are and every place where they occur. A fuller discussion of my research is included in my other papers, but for now this provides a sufficient base from which I can present the evidence contained within the obscure and cryptic line above.

I begin with the section of the line starting from near the end of the second word ps au ciel s. This becomes psauciels by removing the blanks and then Asclepius by rearranging the letters. This is the only anagram of this name anywhere in the text. To most this revelation  will appear underwhelming but the relevance of this word can change this view. Asclepius is a god-reference  with strong links to a myth involving a gray bird.
Asclepius is a Greek figure who even today is linked to medicine and healing. The rod with the twisted serpent around it, which is the modern symbol for medicine, comes from the tales of Asclepius. It is a symbol of rebirth since the snake was considered as being Phoenix-like with qualities of reincarnation. The Phoenix is a legendary bird that rises anew from its own ashes.

There are 942 quatreins (verses) of four lines each in Nostradamus text which means there are over 3700 lines. The lines average about 45 letters in length so there are about 170,000 letter sets in which each search for anagrams is conducted. Therefore it can be stated that Asclepius occurs only once within the 170,000 places it might be found. This measure will give numerical relevance to the other figures given in these writings. However, low occurrence or singularity, doesn’t prove that it isn’t there by chance alone, it only establishes that it cannot easily be rationalised away as a product of chance. If this was all that could be offered then my arguments would fail but there is much more to indicate this word is not there by chance.

Using the same method of analysis I can take the sequence ris ois from  gris oiseau in the above line and form Osiris. There is only one other instance of this anagram, so finding the two of them together is again interesting as the occurrence factor is also very low. The linking of these two identities in the same line can now be advanced beyond their rarity. They are linked by being metaphors for rebirth.

Osiris, like Asclepius, is a god associated with the rebirth of the land at the time of the Nile ’s annual flood. The Egyptians linked another image to Osiris, that of a bird, the Bennu. This is a gray bird and it was the Egyptian version of the Phoenix. This bird is described as "the one who came into being by himself". It was believed to constantly rise renewed just like the sun.

The relevance of these connections to Nostradamus’ visible text then lies in the Bennu.  In most tales of flood there is a dove or similar bird that is released to search for land, the bird’s long flights bring no hope until the day it returns with a twig held in its beak. It is a defining image that takes us directly to Noah and the flood but it also takes us to the antecedent tales from Sumer , Egypt and other places that tell of world-wide inundation.

Again, if this is all that exists in the line it is still easy to dismiss but there is much more of powerful significance within its lettering.

Nostradamus’ reference to the ancient Star-Gods and the art of divination.

Asclepius, through Ophiucchus, and Osiris, through Orion, are Star Gods. This offers another connection via an anagram contained within this line. Using the line as a continuous loop, allows me to link the end lettering to the first letters of the line, like a snake biting its tail. Then Long temps au ciel sera veu gris oiseau becomes iseau Long temp. From this I can form pneumatologies, which is another anagram that only occurs here withinNostradamus' Prophecies.

The word pneumatology has several meanings all of which are similar:
  • The doctrine or study of spiritual beings and phenomena, especially the belief in spirits intervening between humans and God.
  • The Christian doctrine of the Holy Ghost.
  • The belief in spiritual beings, as angels, between men and God.
So Osiris and Asclepius, the star gods are found in the same line that contains the description of their commonality; they are the Gods by whom the ancients sought intervention with the Universal Creator. In this instance the anagram is a plural form suggesting that more than one framework is involved, the ancient ones of the Egyptians and Greeks and the modern Christian form.

Although I believe I have presented a strong case already, it is not yet complete and there is at least one other highly significant anagram to disclose at this time. From Long temps au ciel sera veu gris oiseau we have auspice. There are five anagrams of this word within Nostradamus' text so it is not frequent but it certainly more common than the other words. It is its meaning that justifies its inclusion, especially now the other words have illuminated the way.

An AUSPICE is:
  • a protection or support; patronage.
  • a sign indicative of future prospects; an omen.
  • an observation of and divination from the actions of birds.
The line refers to a grey bird flying for a long time. It is an omen and from its action we can draw unambiguous meanings. Here once more we have a very clear link to the visible line as well as to the newly uncovered words.

Osiris was a god of the earth and vegetation, who symbolized in his death the yearly drought and in his miraculous rebirth the periodic flooding of the Nile and the growth of grain. Rebirth and floods were linked in ancient times.

The third line of the verse in which all the above anagrams are located (line 1) confirms where this set of allegories will eventually lead.

"Tenant au bec vn verdoyeant rameau"
"He carries a flowering branch in his beak
"
Centuries I, Quatrein 100, L.3

Here we have a confirmatory image of the flood. Here is the small bird returning after a long flight with a frond in its beak. This is the link that Nostradamus makes with the past and through the anagrams we can see exactly on what stories these lines are based.
However, the above is enough to establish what I set out to show, namely that it is possible to give deep insight into a line of Nostradamus' text by uncovering the anagrams within it that are pertinent to the visible meaning of the line. And I did this in order to show that Nostradamus' own explanation of what he was doing is not easily discounted.

The anagrams in the rest of the verse don't develop this theme any further but instead they direct the reader to take a particular path in reading how it applies to the future. The major and least common anagram sequences are given above even though some will prove superfluous or poorly framed.

Nostradamus- Centuries 1 Quatrain 68

This verse is one of five that carry anagrams of 'Terminated'. The visible text of each seems connected to an event of finality and this quatrain holds to that pattern (C1Q46, C1Q68, C7Q29, C9Q11, C9Q91). Other anagrams in the verse tie it into events in 2065CE in and around Geneva. The text when read in this context takes on meaning that is otherwise too nondescript to be of value.
