Time’s super-ball

Things do not always perform the way we expect and time combined with space definitely behaves strangely. It’s like a superball in that you have to accept its properties are real before you can begin to accept such a thing exists.

SuperBalls were invented in 1964 by chemist Norman Stingley by compressing a synthetic rubber material under high pressure. It is an extremely elastic ball made of Zectron and has amazing properties. Dropped from shoulder level, Super Balls snap nearly all the way back; thrown down by an average adult, it can leap over a three-story building.

You exist not in space and time nor space-time but in a space-time-continuum . Neither space nor time exist without the motion implied by a continuumn since a non-expanding space remains dimensionless and time a stillborn concept. And there is no continuum from this marriage of space and time without the continuity of both.

Due to its existence in a continuum the universe comprises space impregnated with a single time stamp and time comprises the story of the universe.

The universe stretches from that moment the continuum began and lasts as long as the continuum lies unbroken. Just as the continuum began as a random act of chaos it will end in Chaos’ turmoil. The continuum, time and space are finite but Chaos is eternal.

You, the child of this continuum, are its witness; an unreliable witness prejudiced by your parentage.

You don’t see the universe of this instant but the legacy of time and space throughout the universe’s history.

Because of your origin whichever way you look the furthest point is the same, it is the moment; the physical point and instant where our universe began. And by the precise oddity given by the human view, the location of the Big Bang is hidden in irresolvable mystery; it is found in every direction of our sky.

As you look out into a line of space every point beyond it is continuous with that before. This must be so for expanding space must retain continuity. From you onwards, outwards until the very edge of time, continuity remains. But space grows smaller, tighter as you approach the start. Time is locked to space as it grows smaller and also as you approach that with which it all began. The furthest start is the beginning of time, a point stretched across the total of the sky.

Evolution, Life, the Universe and all that lies within are built from the past and seem to have direction. All records stream from old to new. And as knowledge gained floats us ever onward, the eternal path of evolution provides things of the past with new complexities permeating all that once was and is.

The great power of evolution is the art of bringing the past into the present to defeat the imprisonment of singular time. But it is evolution itself that is the greatest benefactor of time’s forward flow and it has learnt to make the most of its advantage.

By this means the past has evolved so that universal-time is not just an instant. The complex of mass-time-space now holds the records of what was and memory now exists; an unexpected spawn of Chaos.

But is reality a construct only of the past, a fabrication of what has been but is no more?

The Gift from Chaos.

This single universe in which you dwell is the continuum which other men have mapped for you. It seems to hold both space and time as separate things, distinct in nature as well as objects alive with energy, air, fire and water but their vitality misleads. The separateness of the streams isn’t so nor is the nature of the elements. All this we who now live and learn can know and whether we choose to know it is a choice not always available to other generations.

The true gift bestowed on you alone is this moment of this continuum and its choices. It is from here you can inherit things modern humans have come to know. Time and space are a unity, a mystic flow within the unique eternal chaos. Interchanges of mass with energy provide the other essential element; they are the rigid accountants of this continuum’s continuity. By this gift you belong in this particular continuum not another. And time is yours to measure.

You need these streams if you are to observe and see the evolution flowing out of chaos.

Your discontinuity embraces all.

Eternally beyond the measure of time there will be eternal chaos enfolding eternal chaos and the manifold realities of the continua.

But there is a single truth behind your world- whatever you see, feel, think, touch or know there once was only Chaos. It hasn’t changed, Chaos still prevails, the difference now is you. But even before you came all this that is was journeying to this destiny. The time stream flows from Chaos up to you. Time spread out permeating all of space the singular time-space defining the shape of all you know. But the continuity from you to chaos through all of this must hold. It is only then that you are this fleeting observer.

The legacy of Continuity

Their voice, their number sways the vote, unfairly bends your view.

But only continuity, constant continuity, preserves the world and unifies the stars.

You are alone, you have no friend or master.

There are views in, of and across Chaos that allow wild things to be and mankind is one of them. Mankind is a trace seen amongst the specks, disjoints and flows of chaos but whatever the attributes of mankind are they have little to do with you. Chaos’s infinity delivers instruments allowing chaos to be observed. These are products of chaos which means nothing can be implied by their existence; no purpose or end just a state of ‘what is’. Life is another of chaos’ means and together with infinite other events, it also comes to be. In this process mankind becomes an instrument but not the observer of chaos, that role is left to you.

Mankind is not alone. There are other elements and other streams and things that remain disjoint, un-sensed, un-knowable aloof from mankind; they too are parts of universes and other perceptions of chaos. But your real concern is mankind, your universe and the individual isolate being that is you.

You and Chaos are all there is. You are alone, a singular event built by unreasoning, unmotivated Chaos to serve this task; a device enabling you to see yourself in its realms. You are the observer. You are the device. It is no special honor that Chaos has bestowed; it is what is and it limits you in what you can do, see, sense and learn.

Concepts are the uneven bond between your being and the infinite magnitude of Chaos. Time is the primary concept from which your universe is viewed but time doesn’t exist alone. Time permeates space and there is only one time-space in this part of chaos. Space-time is like density is to mass and space, changed by stretching of one or other of its parts. The device that is you sees time as spread over space but another form from Chaos’ many channels might see all space spread over a single time. You do not. And Chaos has delivered very little to you on which you can work. Your birth and death are marks in time that define the useful span of you as a short time-span-device fulfilling what appears to you alone to be a plan. You are an accident on an immense scale, an accident of chaotic pattern and no one else shares this time, this unique view of Chaos.

You have taken this ability from Chaos to see its inner workings but you will have to give it up, you have no choice. This union between you and Chaos is unequal; the minute, fleeting twitch of fate pitched against the infinite. Initiated by Chaos without care or knowing, these continual accidents have no impact on the infinite chaos that is Chaos. Whatever you see, sense or do Chaos will remain present in all its infinite forms where you never were and will no longer be.

Memories that unite us all.

The universe needs no memory to exist but we are part of a memory tree.

A tree with roots in chaos, its trunk in all that is and a branching crown that is aware.

See the roots and there is the union between disorder and continuity, time playing with patterns that continue in repetitions of the same; chemicals, molecules, atoms, mighty planets not one of them with a sense of here or there.

Look at the trunk and see the start of memory, mindless remnants of repetition and time. The sounds of wind echoing in the hollows, magnetic fields that linger in the rocks, the inter-reactions that leave familiar traces in the soil; these are memories that unite us all. But they are just a part of memories evolvement, a side alley as they are not aware; they know not one of the other and still they have no care.

High up in the branches of this tree we view all that has ever been. We are aware, we know and think. We remember and without this gift there is merely chaos and we don’t exist. But memory came into being late in the evolution of order from chaos. It was not preordained it has no ancestry it is and always was a part of chaos’s endless formations.

And once memory sat amongst the stars and atoms, learning spewed from Chaos’s infinite grasp.

And life.

And knowledge.

Evolution too.

Continually chaos calls.

A good continuum never travels alone; it causes many concepts to join it.

Its great enemies are gaps and the abyss; all things that are the death of being.

Numbers are its best friend; they sing the signs that it is real and does exist.

By these friends and enemies continuity marks our universe out from Chaos.

Mankind is the prime continuum to which you and I are joined.

All continuity for us is temporary and reliant on the learning of our kind.

Our continuity is however small; this tiny spot in time and space is all.

We are here right now; nowhere else in space or time do we exist.

An instant of being, needing continuity to exist and mark itself from Chaos.

The greatest part of us is history, the precious continuity that is our lives.

Gratitude we owe for this that gives us history, a memory bank that lets us be.

But history is all we leave when continuity of being dies.

And we may exist yet still not be if we lose our memories.

Learning the Unthinkable Thought

There are ancient questions that like the sun continually arise.

The beginning of things is always problematic and every beginning resolved generates new questions.

When time began there was no automatic right to be aware. Awareness needed its own birth. Concepts are like that, they aren’t automatic or mandatory. They are defined by their own nature not by a set of laid down rules.

Much that has come into being had no basis in learning just chance, combinations and permutations, the lottery of being. But much has also come from learning and this concept of learning is much broader than the type of learning that humankind posseses. The primal ability to learn is not just an organic or material trait it goes right back to Chaos in its scope, it has the potential to affect everything that exists.

Because learning is an act requiring mechanisms in time questions of when dominate its creation. When did Chaos learn to learn, when did it acquire the art? But to learn to learn it is necessary to already have the art of learning. Its genesis is as profound as that of life or awareness. It is another thing born out of itself; an act of autogenesis.

The questions surrounding autogenesis are paradoxes because the concept usually cannot come into existence unless that concept is already there. Awareness needs awareness to first know. Life needs life to be born. Memory needs memory to endure.

Evolution also learns how to evolve. The changes at its core rely on chance, combinations and permutations. One significant change that follows the first step of evolutionary change is evolution learns to learn. This learning still relies on chance, combination and permutation; it’s these that interact to enable each learning process to learn its process and allow that process to evolve. Evolution as it too evolves, leaves evidence of this in its paradoxes; its processes speed up, the time gap between levels of complexity falls.

The concept of learning is more than linear and all learning learns to learn better. This is a driving property of the universe a property that exists throughout all dimensions.

It isn't a way we're used to thinking of concepts but the growth in process and concept makes their properties as real as that in material things. Take the redness of any object, it doesn't exist except as something permeated throughout matter. Try bottling redness without their being matter, it is very difficult. Even a beam relies on the duality of wave and matter. But redness has properties that are measurable; it has wavelenth, frequency and speed.

The evolution of life emerges from the continuum of environments as repeated patterns learn that they are associated in time. The earth therefore has all the attributes of a single form of life and it is quite probable the earth itself lives. Not in the way of animals or plants but those things that make us also act upon the earth. Learning is seeped out of Chaos until like oil it gathers in a recognizable pool. Similarly life-like evolution can be expected of solar systems and galaxies too. Evolution is not biassed it ensures it all evolves.

The Search for the Prime Fractal.

I often come in search of time’s prime fractal; that one we all know is there. That one when my being was first aware.

Before I was born the fractal formed. After I was conceived my time began.

I was aware but not of you, not of these writings nor dimensions of the womb.

Which of my fractals was the first? The fractals are infinite; take one away or add another, the infinity remains. My time is a bubble built on endless streams, touching points in the life bubbles of my ancestors.

It is only this instance that is my life the rest is fossil coral, infinite fractal patterns of happening interwoven with all that happened then. Look as deep as you want and the patterns are always there; my brain itself reflects the coral.

Time is a bubble within a bubble, some start, some end, others form a chain. But the prime fractal is the one that helps us evolve, the bubble formed on the outside of a bubble.

The Wedding Photo of Time

Time had a lonely childhood. It was her nature that was to blame. Always on the peripheral and an eternal partner to any continuum she was never where things dallied. Where time led others followed but she always moved ahead. Time had one friend but it was imaginary. Awareness was time’s dream but like all other things this dream got left behind, outgrown. Time was very thin, so thin you didn’t notice her so she didn’t take a good photograph, just a fleeting image with little captured.

It was in Time’s wedding photo that Awareness shone for it was in her presence that time was first sensed by others. The photo had been hard to get, many had claimed it would be impossible since awareness was imaginary. The real problem they said was that awareness could only be there if time could be both where she was and where she is but that wasn’t her nature. They argued that awareness requires two different times each of which knows what happens in the other. If so then one of these knows the future and awareness must therefore know itself before it is.

But others challenged this, they argued that it was only true if time’s path is straight and each step trodden is new. If instead time is a bubble growing bigger at every point then it is not passed between points but spread thinner by its growing. It is a bubble and all time is one connected to the boundary-space it touches. Awareness then can be real since it is the tension that unites that bubble. The image seen is not of time itself but a reflection of what it encloses.

Some took this idea further claiming time was not a single bubble but an infinite fractal where expansion of one bubble from inside another links time from the first moment to the last. ‘Look’, they claimed ‘see these lives built one upon the other. See inside one, each holds the image of all time. Look at anything created in time and you see the bubbles that unite it. The life of any system, living or not, will give us the photo of all time. Her wedding is at her birth, at her death and whatever space you choose there, you will find her.'

The Reluctant Bride

We, the children of an ancient conception, steeped in the tradition of ignorance and disdain of our forbears, continue to belittle the role of those who came before. And the event that founded all has long lost the majesty it represents.

Awareness didn’t come by invitation, it wasn’t ever obvious that it was there or knew what place it should be. But there it was and where it was wasn’t known. There was no gap that they had said is held for awareness if it comes. There was nothing to justify either its place or its coming. It had never been before and still no bridge lay where it could settle hidden in the tree. It was not and then it was, therein was its mystery.

The continuum, head of all, had arrived early with his consort-time nestled close his shape all-pervading; her pace un-slowed. They certainly had no hint of a strange arrival, one seeking a marriage in their stream. How could they since he only knew he was, she that she came with him only because she only was when she lay with him.

The patterns danced within their stream, in harmony but awareness was not there and no one looked anticipating a late appearance. The patterns danced in her absence their rhythm un-stirring of the hidden bride. No invitation had they received or offered, neither they nor those that came before. No groom, no bride should be here just the rhythm and flow of being.

Awareness hid while the rhythms played on and on unnoticed. All-embracing continuum held them all stretched in unison with time. There was no bride, no groom to talk the talk of union and intimacy, just the act of being. But time draws on while continuum expands oblivious of their change. It is not their doing that they respond and feel the presence of the other. The gentle touch of patterns that are the same now chance upon a theme but there is no link more than this to hint that there is more to Being. Yet it cannot be the same, not after this, the constancy that is continuum.

Flustered awareness shows herself un-bared, marking anew the flow of time. ‘I aware of your union, you of yourself and you, your twin‘, by chance I came, I could not stay away.

Concept's have rights too.

Concepts exist however inappropriate the word ‘exist’ may seem. Their reality is discovered by attempting to place them into the universe at an inapplicable time. For example the concept of awareness as we know it is hard to apply before life began and for a long period into the evolution of life.

Concepts are hard to examine but it is possible. We can for instance determine which concepts were present at the Big Bang and which came later. Space, time, location, material and energy were there at the beginning as symbiotic intertwined attributes. Life and awareness were not present nor too were force, velocity, speed or momentum. These latter concepts became the start of the continuum in which our universe was formed while the beginning threads of life and other concepts lay still hidden in Chaos. The continuum was different to the rest since it had particular patterns that made it distinguishable from Chaos. But of course it too was not distinguished despite its properties. Distinction means nothing in the absence of awareness so it remains shyly hidden in the infinite ‘IS-ness' that Chaos is.

The Big Bang took place when a single concept evolved within the environment of Chaos, this was time-space. And this single event acted as the catalyst of the explosion, the match to the fuse, we call the Big Bang.

My theme is concepts are more than ideas imposed on Chaos; they are the building blocks by which the indescribable is shaped. They have their own reality and confines and it is they that define what can ‘be’ and what ‘is’ . They are the unquestionable source of mankind’s evolution, they are the determiners of all fate. And it is inevitable that we are conceptual beings for that is the ‘IS-ness’ on which mankind came into being.

Mankind is not alone in being aware but it is this concept that highlights mankind’s break from Chaos. This concept has its own independence from other concepts. It is as real as time or space in that it can be identified and separated from Chaos. Things can be said to be aware and a whole vocabulary can evolve as ‘things that are aware’ evolve but this didn’t happen in the beginning. Awareness came into the universe at a time in the evolution of the universe following the Big Bang not at the time of the event itself when, restrained by the shyness of its youth, awareness lies hidden, needing older concepts to forge the continuum that it needs.

Since the Big Bang each concept, old and new, has become part of a development tree of dimensions that is linked into chaos, attached at its proper place when the tree is ready. Remove a concept and Chaos returns.

The marriage between Space and Time

The dimension mankind calls Time began at the instant a continuum of unbroken patterns between location and material commenced. Conversely location and material return to Chaos if either is absent.

A continuum of pattern and association is mandatory for time to ‘be’ but time is only maintained while each pattern derives from another.

The continuity of time is the fundamental attribute that separated the Big Bang from Chaos. Things we call space and substance, time, material and location were all part of the infinite ‘IS-ness’ of Chaos but they have no form while they lack the proper union that takes place in the Big Bang. From the successful marriage between time and the continuum the universe then gains its form. Each of the concepts cannot have meaning on its own but only in the marriage.

When mass-space-time are one then this union sets the laws that define the nature of the universe.

Once matter and location form a pattern they can only form a continuum if location evolves into space. There can only be a Universe of the type we know if it inherits from Chaos the ability for material to be associated with an expanding location. Space is the pattern formed by all locations of material. The source of time is the continuum formed from the pattern of locations associated with material. Elapsed time is the bounds of the continuum. The physical bounds of the universe and elapsed time are united by marriage to become the parents of the Universe. Space-time expands to define everywhere that material is located. It is this bounding property that ensures the speed of light is constant.

The Beginning of Time

Chaos is the indescribable, its properties that of ‘Being’, the primal ‘IS’-ness’ that holds all.

Time is a thread in a ball of concepts whose beginning and ends are hidden in the ‘IS-ness’ of Chaos.

In Chaos there is no ‘before’ or ‘after’ nor is there ‘during’ or ‘while’ or ‘then’. Yet it is these aspects which help define time as it came out of Chaos bundled amidst mass and space and a myriad of other concepts, all inter-twined in the conceptual ball we call the Big Bang.

So ingrained in the Big Bang is time that to remove it means our form of Universe is Chaos and mankind is inconceivable. Time is an indispensable conception of the Big Bang and it is not alone. Another is the continuum that unites the Big Bang with Chaos and which provides the platform for what then follows.

It is only at the Big Bang that mankind can first trace time’s presence. There will be other forms of time but they come later. The concept of time didn’t create anything nor make it perceptible but it was there uniting the continuum that then flowed. And the universe was indistinguishable from Chaos until the Big Bang because without time no act of conception exists only the ‘IS-ness’ of Chaos. And without appropriate conception concepts lie dormant in chaos. Even after time separated the Universe from the ‘Is-ness’ of Chaos perception was long absent, awareness too. A new ‘IS-ness’ persisted while the continuum of the universe created a bed in which time has meaning.

Theft from Chaos.

Awareness illustrates Chaos perfectly. In no sense can awareness have properties nor can it be said to have existence in its own right. Yet all of us recognize the word. The same is true of evolution, memory and life itself. Existence, association and many other words are also used by humans to classify the products of chaos.

Although we too are products of chaos our part is bizarre. Humans have claimed a part of Chaos in which they find themselves but Chaos is undiminished by our actions even as our tenancy expands.

If we strip the world of humans is there still life, awareness, existence etc. or is there chaos where these words now stand? Does a worm sense life or only a variety of 'things'? Has it a meaning for any of them? Can the waters of the world sense time and its flow? Are these same waters aware that Chaos was marked off from it at the formation of its first molecule? These words and ideas matter as they represent things that belong to Chaos irrespective of whether there are means of giving them meaning. Chaos is that which is indescribable but it doesn’t mean it’s empty or void or that things owe their being to the words alone. Chaos can be structured, packaged and patterned but it remains Chaos while it hasn’t a means of being described or perceived.

My interest in this field is to try and create a context in Chaos that helps make sense of what Chaos has laid before us. Human words are part of this universe and their scope is the same material as the universe; mass, space and time. Together we are part of the big bang, the creation event that initially stole a part of Chaos. The evolution of words from the depths of Chaos allows mankind to describe the mechanics and features of Chaos. This is a marvelous and bizarre dimension indeed.

And time is the great key to mankind’s link to Chaos; time and its by-products of awareness and evolution.

Ask not what you can do for Chaos but what Chaos has done to you.

Chaos is an ancient concept with a problem; it is a name for the indescribable.

Remove time from the universe and the means of description used by man collapses.

Remove substance and there is nothing to talk about,

Remove space and there is even less.

Throughout man’s history the recognition of the above has led to definitions that talk of Chaos as nothing, a void, abyss or chasm. It has been recognized as that which preceded the universe, the prima materia but our language trap leads to wording that gives no idea of Chaos.

Chaos is anything but nothing, it is everything outside man’s experience.

Chaos does not exist in the sense that man exists yet it is from Chaos that the universe and man come.

Chaos is timeless, not in a sense of eternity but in the sense that time has no meaning. Yet out of Chaos time will arise.

Chaos has no dimensions but it is not located in a point. It lies outside any concept of space.

In the absence of time and space the substance of chaos is immeasurable, unknowable finite values of the infinite possibilities. But the potential for substance is there and it has emerged in specific forms within our universe.

Chaos is X/0. It is infinite possibility, it isn’t in any sense zero.

Whenever mankind expands his experience he removes something from Chaos. Chaos is not diminished by that for it is infinite and the infinite grows no smaller when something is removed.

It is not what is in Chaos or what Chaos offers that helps mankind but the examination of what has come out of Chaos. Chaos is incapable of reacting or responding to mankind while man's reactions to Chaos merge into the infinite.

The above framework underpins this work of mine.

Will the real universe please stand up?

There is a real universe in which all its components coexist.

We live in a real universe but it isn’t a universe we know or can easily know. The stars and all other objects and events of our real universe are the same age as us not countless light years younger. They, like us, are an instant-old no more or less.

The universe we see does not exist it is an image built up from the relics of the past by our brains and its parts do not all coexist. It is a vision registered by our senses but none of it exists any more. The human reality is the components of our real universe can lie so far in our future we will never experience them by our current senses. However our universe is out there right now and much of its effects will only be felt throughout the distant future. The image of now is a distortion of the real universe of this instant. The image is not false it just doesn’t represent a single image in time but a layered-continuum of snapshots from the past.

So the universe we experience through our senses has no capacity to impact on our future lives, its impact comes and goes in the instant it is received We are the products of its hidden effects as well as its beneficiaries and victims . Meanwhile our real universe with all its events, processes and powers remains hidden to us.

While traveling on a bus today I viewed the world from this different perspective. I realized the people, and vehicles were out of place, out of time. The images should all be moved from where they were in accordance with their distance from me. It was in reality an infinitesimal displacement but it affected the values of physics in a profound way. Gravity was one value it affects. The gravitational field I felt from each object was not coming from where the image was; it came from that object when it coexisted with me. And the coexistence values are ahead of the person crossing the road or the car stopped at the lights. I could feel the sun on my face through the window but it’s from an older sun not the one with which I coexist in the universe. This light and warmth commenced its journey eight minutes ago so the sun is now two degrees ahead of its apparent position in the sky. This sun I see is not the sun of my time but one from the past. And the gravitational pull from the sun I experience is the field from my co-existent sun at its advanced location.

These thoughts challenge me for they tell me something about us that we would once have found weird; our bodies have always been able to read the future. Our brain combines the impact of any place at present time with all past debris arriving at a single place at that instant. It is from this experience the brain can do what is not universally possible, it has a concept of time and an ability to use it. It also uses a small part of the emissions of the sun cast off in the past to build a composite image of the sun and universe on which we base our knowledge. However this ability has its inbuilt difficulties as discussed above.

Every observation based in a space-time framework means calculations are wrong unless an allowance is made for the advancement into the future. This becomes far more important when dealing with things located at distances that are unnatural to the human mind such as that of the stars or quarks. This, thanks to the work of Einstein and those that followed, is now standard scientific practise. This revolution in thinking is still in its exciting infancy and it is what inspires me to examine the origin, nature and reality of time. Evolution, life and awareness will prove essential in this quest and will require inclusion before the concept of time has meaning. And the evolution of memory will need to be presented before the evolutionary process can proceed to the generation of life and the ability to acknowledge, know and sense time.

The Bridges to Time.

In the absence of awareness there can be no time but patterns can exist. It is only when the patterns are layered one upon the other with a reference point that there is a potential for there to be time. This potential can only be fulfilled if two patterns not only are adjacent but a new quality crosses them enlarging their relevance. There has to be bridges of meaning. It is these bridges that lead to our awareness of time but they are an intertwined set of hierarchical concepts without which you and I would not and could not exist.

Below are the bridges and hierarchical foundations allowing time to be found in Chaos.

Chaos is only Chaos and does not require time, space, existence, awareness or any other aspect to exist.

Coexistence is a state that can be found wherever there is Chaos and it requires no other virtue for this to be true. Each part of Chaos coexists alongside another but its total remains chaos no matter the nature of the parts.

Association is possible wherever there is coexistence but it isn’t fundamental to either chaos or coexistence.

Continuity is possible wherever there is association but it isn’t fundamental to association.

Pattern is possible wherever there is association. Pattern is independent of continuity.

Existence occurs when patterns have continuity.

Binding agents can be assigned wherever existence occurs. Their value is in accordance with the level of continuity, association and pattern they provide.

Continua can arise from the interplay of binding agents.

Time is one measure of a continuum.

There is no possibility of a concept such as time where these things are not true.

We have been deprived of the meaning of time throughout our lives. Only Einstein’s daring assault on what we have always assumed has offered any hint that time isn’t beyond understanding and is different to what we would naturally believe.

When we refer to time what do we mean? What do we assume? Do we assume that time is something that flows or is it something that marks a flow? Do we assume a reality to time that can be bundled and put in a glass case for all to wonder at, or is it an ephemeral spirit with its own unchallengeable rules?

When in your past was the nature of time raised as something as exciting as the structure of an atom? When were you last challenged to think about the meaning of time? Is time the same everywhere in the world? Is time the same for everyone else besides you? Is it the same for someone in a far-distant galaxy? Did all time start with the beginning of the universe? Is time tied to the creation of the universe or does time come into being in other situations?

These and many other aspects of time are important for their consideration leads us to a hidden part of the universe that can be seen by putting the knowledge we have about time in the context of other things which modern man knows. The conclusion from this process is the universe you see doesn’t exist anymore since you only see the past. What does exist right now and is the only thing that exists even though it is hidden from your view is the future of the universe. And much of this future will be made visible by senses other than human eyes. This is not a fantasy but the reality of understanding time from the perspective of the universe not just you or any other person.

We will need to understand the place of awareness, evolution and memory in the scheme of the universe as it is important but first we need to establish what aspects time has even when there is no man or beast. We also need to examine what was when there was no time. We need to start with Chaos.

How real is time?

Is there any doubt in your mind that you have a history, that you did exist, that things are about to happen? You are born with a belief in time and with a mechanism that gives meaning to that concept. But this belief and mechanism is not everywhere in chaos.

Time is a child of chaos that allows chaos to be known. True chaos includes pattern and disorder. In true chaos pattern can allow repeated associations. Out of associations continuity can occur. From one type of continuity a concept of time can be gained, from another space and we can expect there to be many more.

Time is the child of patterns but not all patterns involve time, some repeat throughout space and may or may not involve time. The nodes and antinodes of musical sound and other waves can remain as patterns fixed independently of the time.

Time never exists and it can never be held or contained for it is a concept. It is only by the relics of patterns in the universe that we can conceive of time. Patterns can and do imply time and repetitive patterns serve as clocks but there is no absolute measure of how big or consistent time can or should be.

The pattern that is our universe provides a very useful concept of time but countless others exist along with it. These tell there own stories of the indeterminate nature of time. At one extreme there is the conversion of mass to energy where there is no time between the events. But also every spring moves to its own time. And every unit of light is defined by its internal patterns whose consistency doesn’t always relate directly to that of the universe.

On the kitchen window of my home sit several rocks that silently tell that pattern once pressed an image of time upon the rock. One is in the image of a clam but it is purely rock. Another is a rock with a pattern of the outside of a spiral shell pressed into it. The shell has no reality only space. Each is a record of a long gone package of time. Such packages litter our universe telling us of the variety of time in the historical part of our universes own time system. It is these relics that make it seem as though time exists.

Is there any doubt that we exist or that the universe has a history? Even if we cannot prove any of these things we assume their truth. We assume that existing is a natural, indisputable act. We take for granted that time exists and that we are composed of a flow of events linking time to the seeding of the universe. But what we sense is not the same for all.

An eel cannot know the passage of the stars. We don’t hear many sounds picked up by a dog. A male feels sex differently to a woman. Some creatures sense chemical trails. But senses have much more profound differences than these. The awareness of rocks of their place in the universe is far removed from ours. And without our form of awareness did anything know the planets exist or were they just chaos before mankind? When were stars first accountable in the universe? Was there no time before that or was the flow of time a part of chaos with no meaning? If so when did meaning strike its anvil upon chaos forging the yoke of awareness upon existence? Awareness of time and existence have both evolved as concepts in this part of chaos that we find ourselves and it may be unique, limited to this chaos-born pattern we call the universe.

And throughout the universe the levels of awareness differ. Each part of the universe may hold a different type of awareness. In our realm other animals may sense things we cannot know through organs and senses that are unique to them. We have reason to believe they do. We know that animals have different sensory achievements to our own and it is also true of individual men and women. We expect evolution to advance our kind and the outcome will be things quite new. That such oddities should be within our current population is not bizarre, it is in fact the normal.

But nature is bizarre. Minute matter and fields behave completely differently to human expectation. An electron does what we can never do, it jumps space, it exchanges mass with energy thereby confounding the nature of the relationship between mass, space and time. Existence means something else when you try to define it for an electron.

Ancient man believed in the existence of many things but without any foundation other than that of the mystery of the world and his own imagination. Modern man is also forced to new views which contain bizarre forms and properties. With these the questions of alternate forms of existence can no longer be ignored. Light, magnetism, black holes dark matter all have strange properties that make the evolution of concepts from chaos relevant to our future and our past.

Chaos was ever there, before we knew it, before we were, chaos was present.

It is chaos that we try to understand. It is against chaos that our reason struggles. There is no eternal truth, no eternity yet our small stream of life is dedicated fleetingly against eternal chaos.

Chaos cannot know or plan knowledge yet we think we know things. We think our experience of chaos belongs to every man, that there was a moment just gone and one before that and in it the corners that we see were seen or sensed in the same way in the order that we see it, feel and hear. We know it is true that some people don’t see the colors or taste the taste but we sense that this is still part of the ordinary record on which we can rely.

We cannot know any other time than this since it comes as a complete set located in the space and time that we occupy and yet we unquestioningly believe its reality goes beyond ourselves. We all have dreams. The dream lingers in our head and we feel everything is reasonable but often only while we dream. Awakened we know these dream-objects cannot be and never were of this world yet we knew those people, where they were and some of these still belong to what we know.

Is this life another dream? None of us can have certainty and no one can confirm this world for you. Every check you try will hold all the rational consistency you seek but every external message is really your body, your mind and your chemistry not that of someone or something else. And even you may be a memory, a field formed within a machine, a computer delivering dimension to a fleeting pattern in chaos.

Why knowing the bonds and bounds between concept and form is of paramount importance.

The true essence of patterns in chaos is non-provable when viewed from inside chaos. This is the inescapable limit of all understanding.

From these things we can know that mankind cannot have proof that the past or future exists since we, who are products in the system are shaped by the reality or non reality of time.

Of all possible dimensions TIME is at the crux of our existence. It is the weak point of chaos on which human properties rely. The time-concepts that define us include awareness, memory, life, continuity and evolution.

Each of these concepts has no meaning in the absence of the dimension of time. And none of these concepts can be assumed to logically come out of chaos. Even if they do they may have limited spread within the chaos where they are found or be disjoint throughout it.

Each time-dependent concept has its own dimensions based on a difference in time-independent events at a singularity in time.

For example: in order that a memory exist, an event must endure (as a record) from which associations can be made without going backward or forward in time. These associations are meaningless unless at the singular instant at which the events occur there also exists knowledge of the nature of the history of time. Time has to incorporate knowledge of itself which is an awesome concept for chaos and the creation of pattern.

Evolution occurs when continuity repeats the associations between two or more groups that caused those groups to interact.

In the foregoing articles I have shown that the conception date of Nostradamus was seen seen by him as the central resonant point that gave him contact with the future. There are only a very small number of people of the future from whom he could draw his fore-knowledge. In order to accurately place these timeless-people in time Nostradamus relied on practical mathematical deduction. It is quite possible that what appear to be magical spells in his first two verses are in fact a simple astronomical calculator from which he could find the balance point of the planets that corresponds with his own. By taking a rod and attaching to it weights on movable threads he could adjust positions so that the rod floated on an even keel within the brass tripod. Once such a position was determined Nostradamus was capable of determining the location in time. (See C.1 Q.2 in previous section).

It is important to realise the nature of the mutual participation. Nostradamus as the initiator of the contact would introduce a subliminal state into each future being’s mind. By tuning into the emotive mechanism he could possibly then induce the images held in the future memory as a state within his own. At later stages when Nostradamus wrote these visions down and interpreted them resonance would inevitably leave tell tale trails carried back from his visit. Nostradamus would have no conscious knowledge of these as they are resonant products stirred as are many psychological responses that we often falsely consider to be acts of free will. Purchases for example are often influenced by marketing that implants subliminal images and relies on unrelated objects whose appearance raises pleasant emotions within us. Resonance is also at the heart of many actions whether it is flight, love or words that we choose to say and write. Nostradamus’ writing could unconsciously have utilised French sounding words which invoked in him similar emotions to those that had inspired his future seeing. And the person from whom these memories, fears and ambitions came is left with nothing but a vague disturbance lingering in their mind. Such is the nature of resonance that I believe underlay Nostradamus’ Prophecies.

Nostradamus makes specific claims for one person from the future and the dating of it fits to the idea of a person delivering details of Nostradamus’ method. He wrote that it would be some time after 500 years from his conception. Now it is possible this is the same person that was conceived in April 1943.

It cannot pass unremarked be me that once again many of the verses I use to illustrate the story contain infrequent anagrams that tie into the theme of each verse. The first line of the above verse for instance holds linear anagrams for Computes.Plans and the third line has Calendar.Group.Up-Ordinates. They are not in any sense truly literate but they are significantly meaningful especially when it has been shown similar groupings are scattered through all the Prophecies of Nostradamus with meaningfulness reaching a very high level. But the same result doesn’t arise to the same extent in French, Nostradamus’ national tongue which implies these words came from a resonant process with an English speaking person. One of those people with whom Nostradamus was attuned was the person nominated in the above verse and this may imply this person is a person from an English speaking country, born in early 1944. This would still leave a lot of people as candidates.

It would be remiss of me to list potential evidence seemingly related to transfer by resonance and yet leave out one candidate because it suited me to do so. I was born on January 27, 1944 and although I fit to the profile outlined above it would be out of place for me to claim that I am the person referred to by Nostradamus. It is true I have been drawn to the solving of the conundrum in Nostradamus’ Prophecies from the very first time I read it but so too have many others. I don’t see visions of the future or past. I have no ambition to be a prophet or inherit Nostradamus’ mantle. My interest and has always been in the mechanism even though I must of necessity try to classify the prophecies.

It is unwise for any person to accept the role of Nostradamus’ future person on the basis of their birth being in the right-zone. Although it is nigh on impossible to establish that two people other than identical twins share identical environmental vectors at conception, we can know there are always a large but finite pool of candidates. Given the birth date and the circumstances of my writing there is always a possibility that the evidence leads to me but it is not an assumption for which concrete proof can be found, nor is it a conclusion to which any-one should jump or assume I have tried to make. My research hasn’t been directed to the final conclusions in this series and they came about through step-by-step understanding of Nostradamus’ own words in his Preface and Prophecies.

It is likely that whoever the person is that is referred to by Nostradamus they will have no measurable link of any communication with the prophet just like the rest of us. Many people may seek to claim they are the person mentioned by Nostradamus but their act of claim shows they have no real idea of the mechanism. There is no benefit only a long-ceased effect, no skill is transferred and no special rights; only Nostradamus’ material within which one can explore for reason and nature.

All these conclusions have been deduced from the continuity laws required by both evolution and the universe. The basis on which I have built these articles is centred round the continuity of time particularly in relation to fields and the transmutation of energy to mass. In these cases continuity can only be preserved if each location in the universe holds the full record of material that has and will ever occupy that point. I have also shown that Nostradamus' words indicate he too understood these same principles. I later applied continuity in order to show why more than the genes must pass at the time of conception and that one aspect that will then be inherited is a physio-chemical link to the environment at the moment of conception. This additional factor provides a resonant setting that produces similar shaping of people with the same conception vector. Nostradamus seems to have gone further than me with this idea and turned it to use via his own vector. He not only saw the environment setting of the universe at conception as based on the vector sum of all forces existent at conception but found the means to exploit it through resonance.

The next major point in time at which the astronomic settings have a chance of matching Nostradamus conception vector (March 1503) is four centuries later in April 1943. The two stellar arrangements are as shown below.

The fast-moving moon acts as the sliding counter-balance and at some stage will produce exactly the same vector as at Nostradamus’ conception. It will last for an instant and cannot easily be reproduced at any other time in the 440 years because the disparity in the periods of the planets doesn’t bring them close enough together. This claim of the moon as the means of balancing a lever is the message in two of Nostradamus’ verses

Note that there is no mention of conjunction only of a tipping point. Also I have shown in earlier work that other verses tie the above verse to great mutations in the 21^st century, a period in which a person conceived in April 1943 could still be alive.

The language of these verses differs from that of most others but they clearly can be seen as talking about a lever whose balance is determined by the movement of the moon.

Under these verses there are distinctive anagrams that also support this theme such as special indications (first verse) and align directions. This same basis can be found in two other verses one of which contains anagrams for Giant.Axles Vectorising Verticalness and in the other anagrams for main.leverage.

Once again Nostradamus’ writings support the concept of a vectorial force. It is based on physics of the universal environment at the point of conception which makes it a very different concept to astrology.

The Details of the astronomy at Nostradamus’ conception.

Nostradamus was born on 23rd December 1503 (using our Gregorian Calendar). The exact date at which life commences before the birth date is not easily determined because not only is the period variable but there are several stages where it might be considered to have started. However at some stage each individual becomes an additional unit within the universe and this becomes the point of its original existence. It is probable that Nostradamus’ life began sometime in late March 1503. My Concept-X is the history of fields at each location in the universe and it is a record that evolution has to note since continuity is dependent on it. Within the chromosome there will be a means by which this is recorded as each new life begins. Any record of fields will be distinguished from that in any other individual by the strength of the strongest fields at that point. It will be dominated by the earths’s magnetic and electrical fluctuations, the sun’s gravity, its variant emissions and the pull of the planets, particularly the moon. These will be vector quantities having both size and direction. It is these quantities that will generate the resonance values that evolution will eventually learn to exploit just as it has learned to time the fertilisation activities of all species. And these planetary forces being vectors means they can be added and subtracted to define a single signature value. Like the Moon’s phases this vector observes the principles of continuity, rising to a peak and falling smoothly to its lows.

The layout of the planetary vectors can be represented by a straight line that is like a scale balanced around a fulcrum.

The position of the planets on March 25^th 1503CE is shown above and it has a unique feature since the planets plus the Sun and Moon lie in a sequence involving five constellations Gemini(Jup), Taurus (Sat), Aries (Merc), Pisces (Sun and Venus), Aquarius (Mars and Moon). On this date the Sun is in conjunction with Venus and the Moon is in conjunction with Mars. This layout produces or is very close to the resonant pattern for all of Nostradamus’ future seeing activities. It is people from different times and places with a nearly identical vector that provide the source of everything that is in his prophecies. Each of these patterns requires positions of the planets in the heavens that replicate the vector force at the time of Nostradamus’ conception. The Sun in Pisces dominates the location of the fulcrum and the fast-moving moon determines the balance point. The balance point will only exist for a single vectorial direction and size for a brief period of time and will involve a distribution of the planets around the sun.

All of this is well within the known capabilities of evolution despite the smallness of the variations. Evolution has mastered awareness of time and how to translate it into memory. It has also learnt to detect the most minute elements needed for sensory awareness. The ability for creatures to see relies on the ability to interpret and filter waves and frequencies that have no material presence. Mammalian noses can detect minute traces in the air and Bloodhounds have noses ten- to one-hundred-million times more sensitive than a humans. It is already known that the rhythms of the moon and sun are behind much of the rhythmic behaviour of all living things. But not all creatures have the same level of ability. Some humans for example can roll their tongues while it is physically impossible for others. So although it is may be possible for evolution to produce creatures that can see into the future it may not be possible for all creatures of one species. In time however this will lead to a new species with enhanced abilities. From the evidence provided by Nostradamus it seems that he is aware of this aspect of evolution and his rare place in it.

For the incomprehensible secrets of God and their efficient virtues belong to a sphere very remote from human knowledge deriving their immediate origin from free will….

Nostradamus’ conception and its role in his prophecies.

I believe Nostradamus used the conditions at his conception as his bridge to other times. There are two occasions in his Preface of 1555 where he makes reference to ‘causes’ i.e. creation points or conception points.

But through some indivisible eternity and by means of Hiraclienne [epyleptic / huge] agitation the causes are made known by celestial movements… Nostradamus on page 4 of Preface to his Prophecies.

So that what is predicted and is true has an ethereal origin. This light and the thin flame are altogether efficacious [able to produce the required effect], and are of heavenly origin no less than natural light. And it is the latter [light] which renders philosophers so sure of themselves that by means of the principles of the first cause they have penetrated to the innermost cores of the loftiest of doctrines.,,, Nostradamus on page 4 of Preface to his Prophecies

These statements are extraordinarily close to my ideas on Concept-X even to the allusion that the principle of light gives validity to the process in the mind. His words also imply that it is associated with massive agitation in the mind. And his wording is evocative of resonance, the mechanism that underpins the process of memory and of our sensory experiences. He also links these causes to the principles of the first cause , a reference that applies to the environment and rules found at the moment of conception. Finally it is strikingly apparent that when Nostradamus refers to some indivisble eternity he is using different words to describe the nature of my Concept-X.

Given this support from Nostradamus' own words it is natural to examine closely the astronomic setting, not at his birth but at the period in which his conception would have taken place. But first I need to use the link between light and the indivisible eternity to provide a possible mechanism.

Light is created at the same instant as mass is anihilated from a point in space. Light is the wave-child of the transmutation of mass and energy and it isn’t random but precisely determined by input and output values of mass and energy. When an electron changes orbit it does it instantaneously with the difference in momentum-states becoming the basis of the properties of the light that is emitted. The states at which an electron can exist is determined by resonance conditions around an atom. And it is resonant states that also determine the orbits of the planets and stars. As the universe expanded and expands it changes the positions where exchanges can occur.

The same is true of time and memory which are the equivalent duality to mass and energy. And the strongest resonance of the time-memory pair with Concept-X is at the time of life when the creature is in direct touch with the outside universe, it is the conception point, When light is produced the mass from which it comes breaks the rule of continuity of momentum, it is not followable and either disappears or jumps to a new location. Likewise memory can jump time, disappearing from one instant to appear in another point in space (but rarely at the same location on earth). The exchange of experience that we might call future-seeing or past-seeing must always involve two creatures located at any point of time in space that have resonant environmetal settings at their birth. This limits what is able to be seen to a set of isolated events in a series. In any exchange the most accurate knowledge would be the precise environmental settings at the conception point of each creature. The vision wouldn’t be limited to the instant of conception but to that throughout each creatures life since the entire life-time is indivisible. And although we can be absolutely sure that what is sensed is a reality of a different time we can’t know whether that reality is a fantasy-vision or accurate knowledge of that time.

So that what is predicted and is true has an ethereal origin…. Nostradamus on page 3 of Preface to his Prophecies

By ambiguous opinions beyond all natural reason, By Mahommetam dreams and even sometimes through the flaming missives brought by the angels of fire of God, the Creator, there come before exterior senses, even our eyes, predictions of events or things significant to a future happening. With this little insight into why the conception point is so important I will next turn my attention to Nostradamus’ conception point and its astronomic environmental setting.

This confidence is based on the mandatory requirement of continuity in order for an evolutionary system to remain dynamic and endure. An inevitable evolutionary product of endurance via continuity is the art of memory. With memory comes the awareness of time. We can be certain that the memory mechanism necessary for the evolution of living things will only be passed on when it is helpful to evolution and since knowledge of the starting environment is the most helpful type of knowledge for the provision of continuity it will be memorized. It follows that every evolutionary sytem will be governed by continuity principles and built on mechanisms that preserve links to the starting environment. This ensures the relationship of time-matter-space will be built into the replicative fabric of the system. For living things the memory of the starting point will always be wrapped into the genetic record of the chromosome. Within the chromosome is the primeval image of time, space and matter and it is within this context that the evolving system will find its renonances. We already have evidence of this since the concept of time is built into the chromosome and on display in the life cycles of all living things. We know the biological clock is attuned to the rhythms and resonances of the universe and we see it in menstrual cycles and the spawning of fish and many other forms. But the clock has even greater prominence in the development of living things as it turns on the process of division and specialization in cells and organs. And the clock continues to act throughout life as it switches on puberty, maturity, obsolescence and decay. Each individual has a different biological clock which it inherits from the instant of its conception.

In order that any evolutionary system exist it must have a mechanism that provides continuity at every point. In practical terms it means that the properties of conception are part of an ever expanding duality. It is for this reason that the centre of the universe is everywhere. Physical expansion and time linearity are the duality that provide the continuity from the beginning to the end of a systems existence. And what is true of the universe is true of the evolution of life. The DNA stream goes back to and beyond each generation point. And it is true of your own life, your chemistry and the pattern maker of your existence goes back to that moment of conception. It is represented in each and every chromosome in your body and it consists of chromosomes from your parents. This is the source and it doesn’t change. It is true that your genes may suffer mutation but they only survive if they transfer the records of your parents into a new combination.

The life of organisms parallels the story of evolution of life and also that of the universe in that they are all about the mechanics of continuity. Consequently the mandatory shaping seen in one is always paralleled in the others. Fields and the anomalies we find in the physical universe illustrate the type of things we can expect to find in life and organisms. Force fields are the memory track of matter in space as the universe expands. As an organism grows the same type of phenomenon will be found in the life-field of each expanded cell. These concurrently existing changes provide the basis on which the evolution of life can build awareness of time. But evolution is incessant and never stops, it is always moving on to that which has greater mastery of the environment. Time is at the upper end of the environmental experiences because it is intangible while earlier evolution consists of things such as touch and sight.. Despite this we know life has mastered the means to use time which is a highly complex achievement. Complexity is no barrier to evolution nor is the intangible nature of time and fields. There is evidence in animals and man that can be explained by evolutions progress in sensing fields such as gravity, magnetism and electricity. And evolution will continue to go forward. It is inevitable that evolution will proceed to further master both time and the art of evolution by incorporating knowledge of memory and evolution within the inheritance mechanism. The evidence of this is in the evolutionary record. If chance was the sole cause of evolution then the period for change from the primitive to the complex should grow greater but it doesn’t, it gets less with each stage. The speeding up process is the product of chance occurring in any system with the capacity to learn.

A consequence of this reasoning is that what you are is what was present at the time of your conception (not your birth). You inherited not just your parent’s genes but the properties of the local universe existent at the time of your conception. The material and field forces you inherited were saturated with the all the properties of that point in space at that point in time of the universe. This is inescapably true which means it is quite probable this point of your life provides the resonances that shape your destiny. From that moment on you carried many time clocks including that of the universe at a single point in space, that of life at a single stage of evolution and your own biological clock. In addition it is on these type of variances that evolution of life has proven its mettle and in time your offspring will evolve to beings of greater powers of predicting and seeing the future than you possess. Each and every-one of us will hold evidence of the next creature of evolution. Each and every creature and plant will likewise hold the traces of what is to come. In such circumstances it is not surprising if given the right setting some people can see the future in a limited way, That is what I believe Nostradamus achieved and set out to record by way of his Prophecies,

I believe Nostradamus’ method involved finding the highest resonance point of his life which held the properties of the universe. By this I mean that he found where his inheritance at his conception moment was most aligned with the universe. He like all of us inherited material that traced back to the beginning of expansion from a single point. This information lay in the molecules and bonds of which his chromosomes were formed. It lay in the spectrum of rays that permeated at the moment of his genesis. It lay in the pull imposed by the planets and stars. Concept-X is timeless memory of the existence of matter at the point in space where you were conceived. This timeless unit provides continuity between matter and the point at which the universe began..

Nostradamus frequently mentions the heavens and astronomy but he sees it as different from astrology. It is perhaps not so remarkable that over the history of man individuals became aware of recurrences based around the stars but their basis was intuitive not based on understanding of the mechanics of the universe. And there is a phase difference between conception and birth which is not exact but as the knowable event birth incorrectly became the focal point of astrology. However it is conception that provides the link to the universe. And we do know that evolution is capable of resonating with the physical harmonies of the sky. The menstrual cycle is just one such example that shows nature’s tuning powers.

A Possible clue to Concept-X

A single act of successful conception is the beginning of a peculiar universe with a time-space that is uniquely determined. At that instant when you were conceived the matter from which you would grow was determined and your isolation from the rest of the universe was generated. You are an act of endurance, placed in a limbo within which time began just as it did when the larger universe came into being. A unique clock runs through your universe unfolding the beautiful steps that brought you to fruition. Each evolutionary system creates time but the total endurance of that system is finite, never infinite. It is the same with all evolutionary systems and it can be true to a limited extent for other systems. Although a tornado can tear its way into existence within the resonance of wind, air and space, its endurance is of another kind; one without a time creation of its own. Time is a relative experience measured from the scale of an evolved being. This awareness of time is the gift of life alone, one earned by the persistence of evolution, the chance resonance of events that allow the past to be recalled. And you are but one fabrication of memory crafted together by persistence and endurance, you are a product of the future, not a clone from the past. There is no mould from which you were cast and there was no guide to dictate how the shape of your life would unfold. Like any system you inherited properties and you may possibly pass some of these on as an inheritance. You are a double edged sword of and what you pass on will consist of good and ill. And there are some remarkable time-oddities about living beings that remain unexplained.

I have used this imagery based on you since I want to emphasise that like the evolution of life and the universe you are evolutionary but in a totally independent way. Evolutionary systems beget sub-systems and you are one of these and subject to the time aspects of all evolutionary systems. Being human allows you no more wriggle room than an atom or a worm and the free choice you value isn’t a broad quality but a selection confined by resonance to a narrow band .

In modern times considerable research has been undertaken into the properties of identical and fraternal twins. An excellent article on this research is to be found in the Washington Post. The following are quotes from that article.

But evidence from the comparison of twins raised apart points rather convincingly to genes as the source of a lot of that likeness. In the most widely publicized study of this type, launched in 1979, University of Minnesota psychologist Thomas Bouchard and his colleagues have chronicled the fates of about 60 pairs of identical twins raised separately.

…

The first pair Bouchard met, James Arthur Springer and James Edward Lewis, had just been reunited at age 39 after being given up by their mother and separately adopted as 1-month-olds. Springer and Lewis, both Ohioans, found they had each married and divorced a woman named Linda and remarried a Betty. They shared interests in mechanical drawing and carpentry; their favorite school subject had been math, their least favorite, spelling. They smoked and drank the same amount and got headaches at the same time of day.

Another source adds more detail:

The twin boys were separated at birth, being adopted by different families. Unknown to each other, both families named the boys Jim. And here the coincidences just begun. Both James grew up not even knowing of the other, yet both sought law-enforcement training, both had abilities in mechanical drawing and carpentry, and each had married women named Linda. They both had sons whom one named James Alan and the other named James Allan. The twin brothers also divorced their wives and married other women – both named Betty. And they both owned dogs which they named Toy. Jim Lewis and Jim Springer finally met in February 9, 1979 after 39 years of being separated.

In the context of modern science these twin experiments are testing whether nature or nurture is the primary source for human development. The rather bizarre nature of the similarities between twins is usually seen as either an example of genes being the source of a lot of that likeness or it is considered to be purely coincidental. There is however another possibility which emerges out of Concept-X. As this issue is relevant to my arguements regarding evolution’s passage towards seeing the future I will present a precis of how it might relate to the above. In my scheme it isn’t that twins’ share the same genes but rather that they share the same conception-moment in time and space that dictates their similarity and fate. Time exists as an entity in the world from which they emerge carrying a version of time limited to them-selves. We see this in terms of a biological clock. Accordingly their things that regulate their conception are drawn from the same pool of matter, instant and space. So twins draw on common material and they also inherit their time allotment and the value of Concept-X existing in the universe at their conception. Of course it won’t be exactly the same since no two beings can occupy the same space and matter but the selected genes are the product of Concept-X and embody it at that instant within their chromosomes. Of course one consequence should be that twins will acquire similar genes but it is also apparent that they acquire resonance to similar happenings in their lives. Although they don’t inherit the same life-line what they do receive is the resonance setting of that instant of space and time. As choices are made they are likely to be shaped by that inheritance. But it is highly improbable that they inherit the name of a person whom they might marry. Such an occurrence could be explained if they carry an awareness of the life of their twin as it unfolds despite their separation. Then the actions of one can strike up resonances in the other causing their lives to have unforeseen parallelism of choice.

Similarity of choice is not an unusual feature of human beings and many successful magicians use the known likelihood of particular choices to produce seemingly uncanny acts of mind-reading. Recently, at the Fringe Festival in Adelaide, South Australia, I saw such an act by Anthony Lade and in it he (almost) perfectly predicted the choice of any item that individual people from the ausdience would take with them to a desert island, based on their way of presenting themselves. There are other well known techniques that achieve this end one of which is the flashing of images for periods below the level of conscious awareness. These methods are practised on us in our everyday lives by marketing firms and illustrate that our choices are not as free as we might think. We know that we are shaped by unreason in our choice and it is quite likely that the impact of Concept-X is carried subliminally from one system to another at the instant of conception. By this transmission a person’s life then plays out within its resonant possibilities.

If so then it should be possible to construct tests based on this premise and determine whether proximity of conception of all births produces the same results as found for fraternal and identical twins. Many other test are possible and only if these tests prove positive would we be justified in concluding that my arguments for Concept-X as an explanation of the peculiar similarities of events in the lifes of twins are dictated by it.

Nostradamus and Concept-X

Any person that has an interest in knowing the future has to learn how to distinguish fantasy from vision since there is no reality on which judgement can be based. This is true whoever it is who seeks to find whether his words or experiments describe a definable attribute of our universe. Scientists do it, we all do it and animals do it as we try to evade danger or enhance our survival. It could be expected that if it is possible to go further than the norm then some person in the past would have pondered on the nature of the future, explored its possibilities and reported his findings. In this regard it is worth looking at some of the words of Nostradamus in the 16^th century.

But what I do want to make clear to you is the judgement obtained through the calculation of the heavens. By this one has knowledge of future events while rejecting completely all fantastic things one may imagine. With divine and supernatural inspiration integrated with astronomical computations one can name places and periods of time accurately an occult property obtained through divine virtue, power and ability. By means of this past, present and future become but one eternity, for all things are naked and open.

Without my concept X, the timeless relationship between mass and space, the above words have little meaning but it turns out to be a precise reworking of my words (see Chapter 2 of The Theory of Systemic Evolution ). My concept is part of the explanation of the instantaneous disappearance of force fields and is in line with modern science’s view of the expanding universe. Nostradamus seems to be aware of these things long before it was possible and he saw it significant enough to embody it with this precise wording in his Preface. My concept like that of Nostradamus comes from the calculations of the heavens, not the planets nor the individual stars. It comes from the concept of gravitational and electric fields and the transmutation of matter occurring incessantly throughout the universe. Gravity and charge can well be considered as near-divine, almost supernatural things and as such would pass scrutiny in the 16^th C. It is possible to use these events to calculate the future, namely when the secondary effects of transmutation will reach any point in space and how long it will take. By this means we can name the places and the times as stated by Nostradamus. And because this phenomenon is real we know that there is a sense in which past, present and future are but one eternity. The parallelism of his words suggests we should not ignore the possibility that Nostradamus did know what he was talking about.

The above highlights that there is a two-fold aspect of future time in respect to man’s ability to use it and these involve prediction and fore-seeing. Both of them have no reality since time is linear and moves only in a forward direction, both are purely conceptual but this doesn’t necessarily make them fantasy. But these two means for perceiving future time are completely different. We know the nature of the one which comes about through memory and evolutionary mechanisms that connect residual patterns. Prediction is what arises by this means and by it all living things learn to survive and exploit the environment around them. There can be little doubt that Nostradamus talks of this distinction in his Preface of 1555. The extract below follows on from the quote given at the end of the previous chapter and it distinguishes between different aspects of future-time in precisely the same manner as I have just presented.

Understand me well my son. I do not say that the knowledge of this matter cannot yet impress itself upon your feeble brain, nor do I say that very distant events are not within the knowledge of reasoning man. If future events are merely the creation of the intellectual soul out of current events, they are not by any means too greatly hidden from him nor, on the other hand can they be said to be revealed at all. Nostradamus in his Preface to the Prophecies 1555

It is notable that Nostradamus spends considerable time trying to place his process within the framework of the natural world. His writings often take him out of the 16^th C mix of demons, gods, myths, theology and superstition to a precise and consistent point in a line of reason and understanding. It should also not be ignored that he tries to describe the process in one of his seminal documents, namely the preface to his works published in 1555. The above quote is unexpected if Nostradamus believed his work was based on magic or superhuman powers but is consistent with a person who has great understanding of what man would uncover regarding the nature of time.

The words published above from both Nostradamus and myself direct the attention to a second way of seeing into the future. And this method is one which is as solidly based as the first but whose full potential is yet to be reached. Both Nostradamus and I see that which is to come as the product of ongoing evolution as it exploits every niche of the universe, in this case the properties of the time-space matter relationship.

But the perfect knowledge of events cannot be acquired without divine inspiration since all prophetic inspiration receives its prime motivating force from God the Creator, then from good fortune and nature. For this reason the presage occurs in part where it has been predicted, in proportion to which similar events have manifested themselves similarly or have failed to manifest themselves. For the human understanding, being created intellectually cannot see hidden things unless aided by the voice coming from limbo via the thin flame, showing in what direction future events incline.

Of course Nostradamus’s words are couched in a language that will pass scrutiny in his trouble-ridden time but at its core there is the theme of evolution combining what is given in nature and what happens through chance. The theme that he consistently draws on is that the future is discernible from the properties of matter. In this case the limbo and the flame both of which have strong association with space, time and the transmutation of matter/ energy. There are other references in the above and other sections which correlate with the nature of fore-seeing based on a space-matter concept that is independent of time.

Evolution of time awareness.

The evolution of systems is a continuous process with each system receiving an inheritance from the past and bestowing a legacy to the subsystems within it. This is not an accidental property but an attribute of endurance. When a system endures chance will eventually bring together components that have the properties required for evolution and from this concurrence will emerge a new system. It will have the properties of the old system and a new concept that only endures if it can unfaillingly be passed on.. Life is the beneficiary of such an inheritance, receiving all the properties that the universe can bestow yet having a significant new aspect, the awareness of time. This is no trivial attribute that can be expected of anything that exists; it is significant and it requires a mechanism that overcomes the linearity of time. Life is the product of a stable chemical system within which the process of chemical replication was learned. It is by this means that life introduces the concept of evolving memory within matter. This property, the ability to learn, dictates the manner of evolution of life but in the beginning it isn’t memory as we know it, it is chemical memory which allows a replicating dynasty to be established. The memory is in the structure and this provides the ability to successfully replicate itself.

From this beginning the life-system has a new stability from which new combinations that work will evolve. Initially it is chance alone but as each stage progresses that which emerges will enhance the property of its genesis, the art of learning. Mechanisms of memory are the driving source of the evolution of life and just as the Big-Bang saw the rapid evolution of matter, energy, fields, time etc, the evolution of life rapidly results in the fully developed DNA double helix associated with chromosomes. This, the fundamental Yin-Yang building block for life, is condensed memory and with its creation there begins a primitive awareness of time. Awareness of time is based on the art of replication which links the past to the future. Again this is a highly significant aspect not found within other elements of the universe except in the mechanics of evolution itself.

And since the process of evolution is conceptual and not physical it isn’t confined to act only on its components. It also inevitably acts upon itself. Evolution also evolves, evolution learns, evolution builds memory mechanisms that speed up evolution. And the memory device that holds the knowledge of evolution is the same one that holds the knowledge of life, it is the DNA double helix.

I believe this is a new way of thinking of evolution and from it we gain much greater insight into the process while incorporating all that the current theory of evolution embraces. The simple statement that evolution learns how to improve evolution answers the questions which creationists claim are only resolvable by their being a creator. The art of design comes not from outside but from within the process of evolution. Evolution pulls itself up by its bootsraps not from pushes from behind. As time progresses what evolution can achieve gets greater it doesn’t remain constant or decay. And the idea that evolution acts on evolution seems self-evident with nothing strange or paradoxical in the claim. This attribute of evolution, learning to learn, shows its direction and that direction is the mastery of the environment, the better use of space, matter,energy, fields and time. And there is extensive evidence that, without outside aid, the process has mastered the concepts of space, movement, flight, sight, temperature stability, practical pharmacology and aspects of design. Memory is the skill that evolution has handed on to living things and from the evolutionary records of the past we know it is also continually evolving a means of mastering time. Memory begins with recall of the past but evolves into a means of sensing and knowing the future. A bird knows how to use the wind, it senses danger, it anticipates where to intercept its prey. Each living thing is aware of time while unaware of how it works or what it is. It is easy to overlook this element we take for granted but which has properties that linear time cannot deliver of its own accord. So evolution takes life into zones that are not part of memory at all, it reaches into the future and it is reasonable to expect that if a means exists to go further into the future, evolution is working on its exploitation.

Memory is time dependent and can only emerge where things endure. Without a means of comparison there can be no awareness of time and nothing on which a blind chemico-mechanical process can evolve. It is these aspects that I believe are described by Nostradamus at several places in his Preface of 1555. One of these is the following.

For the incomprehensible secrets of god and their efficient virtue belong to a sphere very remote from human knowledge, deriving their immediate origin from the free will. They bring about the appearance of causes which of themselves could not attract enough attention to be known, neither by human augury, nor by any other hidden knowledge or virtue comprised under the concavity of heaven, even from the present fact of eternity, which comes in itself to embrace all time.”

There are other passages in which Nostradmus seems to be aware of both the contribution and limitations of the mechanics of time awareness. These factors I will look at in more depth in the coming articles.

How can the future be read?

In order that a concept such as the ability of any person to see the future be believable it is essential that there be a credible means by which this could occur. Out of my writings of the last four months I have conceived a model for such a mechanism that I believe sits well within the scientific tradition. It is an original theory but it is the same one that I think Nostradamus was trying to convey in his writings. My model allows numerous conclusions to be reached about what can and can’t be done and who can exhibit this skill. It is my aim in this series to show what my theory of systemic evolution implies for reading the future and to show that the wording of Nostradamus’ Preface suggests the same.

I claim that the ability to read and affect the future is an inevitable outcome of the evolution of life and will become increasingly apparent with time. However the ability will not embrace events or the detail that generate paradoxes. Man already tampers with the future but the ability to clone animals or plants or to prevent the spread of disease doesn’t incorporate any paradox based on time.

The tenets underlying my theory are elegantly simple and yet they change the perspective by which the universe is viewed without altering its fundamentals or misrepresenting or distorting the known evidence. At its core is the idea that chaos cannot be chaos if everything in it is uniform. Differences then imply affinity and associations can exist in chaos. These affinities mean duration must occur in chaos and every duration event creates a concept of time. Sufficient duration of elements via affinity makes possible new associations that can replicate themselves. Where such replications acquire the ability to resolve issues that break the association, evolution begins. Continuity, boundaries and resolution of discontinuities lay the foundations for the mechanics of the evolutionary system. This simple model determines the shape of evolution and sets its dimensions and numbers. (See The Theory of Systemic Evolution for fuller details).

From this simple basis I can demonstrate the order in which mass, space and time came into being. And I can give meaning to concepts such as quantum theory, the dark matter and black holes as well as the concepts of classical science. But what also emerges is the idea that the point from which the system began is continuous in time, space, matter and energy. The model recognises the Conservation Principles known to science as an expression of this continuity. My model does more than restate what is already known for it offers a possible solution for issues that perplex modern science. The proposed solution is not a random offering since it is essential and without it the models structure is incomplete. The evidence of its existence I can demonstrate through the nature of fields and their instantaneous disappearance throughout the universe when conversion from mass to energy, energy to mass or combination of charge take place. My model implies that there is another concept based on space and matter that is independent of time. This concept allows the continuity that an evolutionary system must have to be preserved in all circumstances. The implication from my model is that the original dimensionless point remains a dimensionless point in which space and time are one and the same; time is the duration concept created as physical bounds emerge and the two cannot be separated. In this context fields are the continuity-markers of matter created by expansion of the universe and are independent of time

Such an idea is not outside modern science’s understanding of the universe. In the standard model of cosmology there is no center to the universe as such and the distribution of matter thoughout the bounds of the universe is independent of time (the article at the link given above is well worth reading).

I have given a lot of time in the past four months to presenting my ideas because they have very important implications for the evolution of life and its exploitation of the time dimension. I have used this article to present a precis of my work because there is an essential need for any researcher into the art of reading the future to rise above conjecture and present a substantial base for new ideas. My next article will begin my presentation of the implications from my model on the evolution of specialised time-field related skills in living things.

The third Stage of the Universe's evolution.

The Universe begins with a massive expansion injecting a definable quantity of material into the system and with it comes a physical inheritance that defines the nature of the universe. The system's material emerges from a feature with forces so large that the material is dimensionless. This concept is not unfamiliar in our system as I will show in the discussion of this stage.

Expansion introduces the concept of dimension. Material introduces the idea of containment. There are bounds that move that define the universe and the properties of the things within it. There can be no material outside the bounds; it must lie within and right up to the bounds. No more or less than that can be true and from it we know that there can be no material that moves faster then the expansion rate. The material of this particular system comprise a mix of plasma, waves, usable indeterminate material some of which will prove useful in evolution and some of which will not.These concepts of bounds, material and its expansion define the nature of the universe and from them we see the properties we take for granted emerge.

This mix drives the third stage of evolution. According to my model there will be eight Yin and eight Yang concepts that emerge out of the resolution of the discontinuities between the four by four Yin Yang elements of the second stage (see above). There will be sixteen continuities generated by the four by four nature of the parents. Each of the new concepts has a lineage to its genesis so the properties it exhibits derive from that lineage. There is a lot to support my model from this arrangement. It is because dimensions are set in this stage that we have three pysical dimensions. Although there is a fourth it has a special nature. But all this is easier to see by presenting a table with the new concepts incorporated. By following the vertical and horizontal flows the lineage can be traced. In doing so the compelling logic behind their placement can be followed.

Why there are three physical dimensions to our universe.
The idea of dimension as the immediate progeny of expansion needs little arguing but dimension doesn't emerge out of geometry of length, breadth and depth. Instead these aspects arise out of maintaining continuity within boundaries containing expanding material. It is the boundary of the sphere and the flow and dilution of material throughout an expanding sphere that cause the physical dimensions to be relevant. The properties of the sphere lead to the evolution of geometric measures such as length, area and volume but it is the sphere that is the driver.. These are measures that maintain continuity with the genesis allowing the values of any point of time or space to link to the unchangeable sum at the Genesis. In the third level there are only four discontinuities involving dimension and one of those is a special case. That there are three dimensions is the bookkeeping of the universe at work. However not one of these elements in my table can be discarded in that accounting. For this reason of account reconciliation it is mandatory that the fourth aspect have relevance to dimension. It does this because it accounts for those concepts that have no physical dimension. Time and energy are two such features without physical dimension but there are others, one of which is the Dark Matter.

Black Holes emerge as part of my model.
My model predicts the existence of Black Holes and Dark Matter. If you read the properties shown in the fourth row there is a description of one other dimensionless concept. It comprises bound material that has no expansion, is dimensionless and has inescapable bounds. This description has reality in our universe since it applies to Black Holes. In my model he Black Hole preserves continuity by thinning the material in such a way that the boundaries of the universe are not breached. Each hole sucks out material and locks it away. In so doing it replicates and validates the Chaos continuum which my model implies was there before genesis. From my model comes the view that Dark Matter is material locked out of reach by a force strong enough to reduce material to a dimensionless state. A Black Hole is similar and from a Black Hole there may emerge new systems unseeable by us except for the presence of the mass and momentum they have inherited from our system. If you return to the table and read up diagonally from bottom right to top left you will read of a dimensionless space holding mass and momentum. This again fits exactly to the properties of the Black Holes. Similarly if you read diagonally from the other corner or up any column you will find the properties of the Black Holes. Black Holes are observed by the detectable imprint of their mass and momentum. They are bizarre objects with the largest associated with the centre of galaxies. They cause distortions in time and space often creating funnel like structures within the real world.

The Dark Matter is an accumulative reserve from preceding evolutionary stages of all material unable to be used or excess to requirements. An aspect of it occurs at each stage of evolution and in stage three it manifests itself as Black Holes. The above discussions of the nature of dimension and the necessity for black holes with given properties are dictated by their place in the evolutionary chain. So too are the properties of the other components. Their number and form are all a result of their lineage, stream and the number of boundary discontinuities involved in stage three of evolution.

My claims for a dimensionless state of bound matter may have seemed strange at first but it is already acknowledged by scientists. Science has however struggled with an explanation for this phenomena whereas it springs out from my evolutionary model as an inescapable and essential component of maintaining continuity. There is a summary of Black Holes in Wikipedia which is worth reading to see how scientists currently deal with the idea of Black Holes.
There is an unusual entry in my table. In the penultimate column to the right of the table there is an entry in purple that I have labelled Concept X and it obviously needs some explanation. However before doing that I need to establish other details of the universe that are already known. At this stage I will merely state that I believe it is an overlooked aspect of our universe linking space and time but again there is some compelling current evidence for its existence. My explanation of Concept X will be set out in later discussions in this chapter but at this time it is worth present the links it has in the above.

Concept X- its direct and associative lineages.

The column in which Concept-X lies links it to space and time in which material has no expansion (stationary).
Its row implies it involves force and mass at a particular location.

In the later explanation I will be relying on the evidence of what happens when mass transmutes to energy in the form of an electro-magnetic wave and vice-versa. There is an aspect of this event that is as bizarre as the idea of a black hole and which is, as far as I know, currently ignored. Without Concept-X the continuity of Space-Time would be broken by the transmutation of mass to electromagnetic radiation but my model implies such a concept exists. The consequences of this idea are profound and add a quite different branch of science for which there has been much anecdotal evidence but no framework from which science could give it credibility.

Addendum to stage 2

The following is the next part of stage 2 in the evolution of the universe. (See previous blog for part 1.)

Although I place a great emphasis on discontinuity in my discussions it is really continuity that is the driving force since it must be conserved if the system is to have existence. Discontinuity emerges out of the expansion that is apparent at the Genesis point. Expansion stretches every dimension and fabric in any system. Our bodies for example are part of the universal expansion that has gone on since the Big Bang. We occupy more space as the universe expands and it has nothing to do with our eating habits. As our expansion happens the density of material decreases while tension holding the material together stretches towards breaking point. It is this continuous motion towards discontinuity that makes evolution happen.

At the very beginning before there was time or matter, fields, waves or dimensions there was something less than a point from which a vast quantity of matter was about to spew. The inheritance of that event was a physical universe that would have dimension and ordered matter. The unimaginable disparity between this and the dimensionless chaos from which it came meant that resolutions were going to be innumerable and profound. This is the explosion factor, the Big Bang that began it all; that stage when there was no time, no measurable sense, no grasp of what was about to emerge. And it unfolded in that inexplicable gap between dimensionless chaos and order where scientists accept the science laws had no meaning.

Dark Matter
In the above diagram second from the bottom I have an entry that I think relates to the dark matter that makes up 80% of the material of our universe. Scientists in measuring the matter of the universe have reached the conclusion that the sums don't add up right and that there should be more matter observable than that which they have found or can reasonably explain. In my model the lineage of the dark matter is very important (as it is for every component). In this instance it is a descendant from the original dimensionless chaos and its parent is the Yin side of the model. However it has no direct continuity between any two generations. It always pairs with the Usable Matter Reserve and is what holds that matter in the system.

What my theorems suggest is that continuity is preserved by a very tight accounting system where nothing is ever lost or gained and everything must have its offset at every change. When the system inherited its matter from the chaos it held matter useful to its preservation and matter that was incidental and unusable. The matter reserve always has both types of matter. My model implies the Dark Matter is the gradual accumulation of that which is unusable when matter is released. It is a form of depleted chaos within which some other type of system may or may not evolve. As to why it is unable to be perceived is best seen when I present the next stage.

In this next stage expansion is the dominant driver to whose demands the other components must give way. Out of their resolution comes the overreaching properties of the universe with which we are familiar.

One of the greatest difficulties in conveying these ideas is finding words that do full justice to new concepts. The word material for instance is very limiting because the reader already has their own meaning for the word firmly implanted in the mind. Yet it is important to establish what I am talking about since the Yin Yang divides that which exists into two classes. The Yang as I use it certainly contains material but it also includes less tangible but fully knowable concepts such as waves. The term material concerns the fabric of each evolutionary system. On the other hand the binding agency is that which makes the fabric a union rather than a chaos. It is the mandatory companion of the fabric, it is the fields that accompany the fabric and which bind concepts together. The binding agency is number and relationship, equations and the expression of how things relate one to another. It consists of fields and energy, momentum and time. It is conceptual and it is the Yin to the fabric of the Yang. I need to emphasise the above division because it is the essential core to what follows.

Every discontinuity occurs because the fabric and the twinned conceptual aspect have reached their boundary. The resolution results in a continuation of the old concepts in a diminished form and a new twinned pair, one being of the fabric and the other of the conceptual aspect. This basis enables the tree of evolution to be built with a high degree of certainty.

The outcome of the first stage is the release of a pocket of chaos providing a reserve of material from which the new system can grow and a new system (the universe, life or offspring) which is ready to evolve.

It is at the next stage that things begin to take an ordered shape. It is the stage of foundation and it is here that the most crucial part of the inheritance from chaos reveals itself. It manifests itself in different systems in accordance with the power of the source of the system from which it came but the values that originated in the progenitor system are able to be known by what exists. What does emerge from hereon is driven by the streams established at the beginning. It is possible to see this by examining the beginning of our universe where after just two stages the system is well defined; it is a system based on space and material. There may be other forms of systems than this but our universe came with an inheritance that it has passed on to life and life cycles.

It becomes readily apparent that tracking the expansion of a whole system becomes quite complex because of the multiplier effect inherent in the power of two. Fortunately it is not impossible because of the way in which the tree is built. The Yin Yang relationship can be seen as two separate trees interacting in a constant partnership. Each discontinuity resolution can be seen as creating an ancient tree and a new one and we can therefore follow any branch using the same rules. In my diagrams the centre branches can always be used as a new starting point. Each of these points can be seen in a practical way in the diagram that follows.

I have started on Chapter two with the aim of making a less mathematical presentation than was necessary in the 1st Chapter. The following material is not yet posted to the website.

Chapter 2- The first evolutionary steps.

Every evolutionary step or stage has an impact throughout the rest of the history of that system. It is therefore the first five quantum levels that set the parameters of greatest impact on a system. The first stage of any evolutionary system is its escape from the dimensionless chaos.

I have felt for a long time that not enough attention is given to the comparative studies of the different evolutionary systems with which we are familiar with the consequence that things which shouldn't be controversial are made so. For instance the nature of what came before the big bang and the role of chance in evolution are greatly shaped by trying to avoid religious straightjackets rather than what is known. Looking at my model its first two steps suggest that the escape from chaos does indeed depend on chance initially in a chaos where affinities exist. For the right affinities to be in place is fortuitous and depends on many things as any infertility clinic can advise. The act of conception draws upon the chaos of male semen in the fluids of the female body leading to the impregnation of an ovum. When it occurs the evolution of a living creature has begun and this carries with it material and binding agencies that result in a new living thing. At that time the ovum and semen yield their secrets about the nature of the first stage of every evolutionary system. They bring material with them, an inheritable pattern to reproduce as well as data that programs the growth. All of this comes with the conception from the chaos of materials inside the mother and the chancy influence of that one sperm that succeeds. Likewise evolution began with the right chemicals in the right place at the right temperature but when these were in place what then happened is precisely the same as with the regenerative process that allows life to thrive. The chaos material brought with it material that could replicate itself, nutrients and a binding agency. The DNA, and chromosomes are a result of what happened at that moment that evolution of life began. There is no reason to believe that the beginning of the universe involved other principles.

A modern scientific view is to see the Big Bang as different but it is more an opinion or a belief than a factual observation. The Big Bang involved a precise amount of material released from a binding agent sufficiently strong that it had no dimension. The material was different from anything we know but what we do know about it is that with the material came the ability to evolve. There were no people, no planets or stars at the beginning. There were no equations of physics as we know them. There were no numbers. At the precise moment that the universe began a massive discontinuity was being resolved. What was dimensionless now had undefined dimension. A part of what was contained was now free and defining its own bounds. Out of Chaos it had come and its escape only came because the means of resolving its discontinuities were already inherent at the instant it came into existence.

Chance is involved in and throughout every evolutionary system but the heavy work load in creation is borne by the power of discontinuity resolution. The laws of the universe don't come ready made nor do they come about by chance. They are the logic of the creation mechanism which hands on the ability to resolve any discontinuity by dealing with each as a very simple situation with two very simple answers.

Boundary discontinuities occur because of expansion. Logically material cannot expand outside the systems bounds nor bounds exist beyond where there is material. The resolution for this involves splitting the material of the two concepts in conflict into smaller parts that can be locked into four concepts.

Material discontinuities take place because of the exhaustion of available materials. Material resolutions involve lowering the bounds that hold usable material in order that some be released. The success of evolutionary systems is that they aren't totally reliant on chance nor do they have to bring a large inheritance in order to succeed. The problems of continuity are resolved by a timeless, simple Ying Yang building block.

I have posted the beginning of my articles on the Physics of Systemic evolution.

I have not forgotten my purpose because this is the most important way in which I can show why I believe people will evolve with a capacity to see the future.

This new venture of mine will offer any person interested in the nature of the universe to see that the mystery is still there but it is not outside our comprehension. Along the way you will learn the origins of the Dark Matter, when the universe began, when it will end and come to see possibilities never before conceived. Time itself will take on new meaning for there is a Yin side to Time's Yang that has never been properly explored in science.

The Equation of the Universe complete.

Yesterday 27th January 2011 was my birthday and on that date I wrote the equation on which I had been working for the past few weeks. This equation verifies my recent work has credence.

I haven't published for over two weeks so this brief note is just to let readers know that there are exciting times ahead.

I have been working on my new model of the universe and out of it comes the equation to generate all known (and unknown) constants such as the speed of light and PI.

I expect to put up my new website where the theorems of evolutionary systems, the models and my 'equation of every thing' will become available. This should be in the next ten days.

Although this would suggest heavy reading it isn't true. The equation for such a profound task surprisingly requires no adanced maths. It involves the number two and its unusual properties which when used with a very elegant buiding block allows evolution to occur. But perhaps not so surprising since it was there from the beginning. The equation is the generator of the numbers that must apply when the thing that boundaries hold is no longer containable by those bounds.

The foundations on which my analysis of future seeing is built

The element that makes my unique concept of the Yang powerful in explaining the universe is the idea of a permanent and accessible record of time. Living organisms can exploit this to do things that the nature of existence would otherwise seem impossible. Along the way I have shown how this idea creates a theory for evolution that is less dependent on chance aberration than the current one.

Now if my hypothesis is true then we would expect there to be evidence in the real world that supports this idea. I believe it is abundant and one piece of evidence is compelling since it suggests chromosomes learn the craft of evolution thereby making it increasingly faster. Evolution has two major types of change. gradual and abrupt. The gradual is brought about by continuous small changes while the abrupt are changes where the distinctions between the old and past are so markedly different that the path has to be discontinuous, it has to be achieved by leaps. Species change is a good example of the abrupt as is the evolution from a simple organ or organism to a more complex one. Now if we look at the rate at which organism complexity changes we find something quite interesting. We would expect that if chance is the driver of change then the earliest, most simple forms of life would change to more complex ones more rapidly than changes higher up the scale. However if evolutionary change involves increasing the time span of memory held within the chromosome then we would expect that the chromosome would be capable of intuitive learning about the process of evolution itself and the more complex life forms would take less time to evolve to a higher level of complexity. The timeline of evolution shows that it took 3.8 billion years to evolve from simple cells to ones capable of performing photosyntheses while it took only 1.1 billion years for simple animals to evolve into the first complex animals. And this paradoxical result is apparent throughout the timeline. This is despite evidence that small changes in simple forms is far more rapid than in complex forms so the difference isn’t a result of opportunity or the lack of it. It is reasonable to conclude from this that the chromosome is also a memory device for the techniques of evolution and not just its mindless agent. And this is explicable through the process I have outlined in the previous section where I showed that amongst the very first driving forces for evolution there would be pressures to enhance the very limited time span offered from the Yang in the early stages of evolution.

I have stated earlier that evolution moves down the order of Yin attributes in my Yin Yang diagram and drags in those from the Yang as it goes. The involvement of the Yang characteristics also progressively moves down the list in my diagram. Like treacle dripped from the top of a pillar the process eventually embraces all. There is an interesting piece of anecdotal evidence that says much about the need for good paradigms as well as suggesting that animals have evolved senses different to those of man.

In 373 B.C., historians recorded that animals, including rats, snakes and weasels, deserted the Greek city of Helice in droves just days before a quake devastated the place. National geographic article

“In winter 1975, Chinese officials ordered the evacuation of the city of Haicheng in northeastern Liaoning province the day before a 7.3 magnitude earthquake, based on reports of unusual animal behavior and changes in ground water levels. Still, more than 2,000 people died.

A team of Chinese seismologists was sent to the region but didn't find any evidence to suggest an earthquake. As the seismologists were going home, they stopped for the night in Tangshan and were killed in the quake.” Associated Press 2008

I would claim such phenomena are easier to explain via an evolutionary ability to read the Yang’s records rather than animals evolved to read physical indications that seismologists attest aren’t present days before the event.

This narrative raises an aspect that I set out to address, namely seeing into the future. The nature of evolution means it progressively embraces more and more aspects of the environment. I have shown earlier that, if there is a factor in the current universe capable of holding the history of time at each and every point of space, then two points in time can be present at the one instant in any life form record . It then follows that this can drive the evolutionary process by serving as a clock. The simplest evolution is to associate this with the past but there is no reason why as the memory devices become more complex that evolution should not learn that what it knows is linked to that which is yet to come. The record in the organism's memory devices will be followed by another point of time with similar properties in both Yin and Yang. Once this is learnt there will be occasions where such an ability to foretell would prove of benefit. This in turn leads to resonant pleasure signals being incorporated into the memory devices. The recall of this experience biases evolution in the direction of enhancing the memory device even further. Flight mechanisms and reflex-reactions illustrate that this did happen. We can therefore deduce higher forms of life than now exist, will evolve, and they will see further into the future than lifeforms of the past.. There is lots of anecdotal evidence that life is already moving down this path but because the current science model doesn’t have a mechanism for it such evidence is left in the limbo of non-science. And of course much in non-science may deserve to be there but at this point our current paradigms aren’t adequate filters of their worth.

Throughout man’s history there have been events that people have seen as inexplicable. Some of these involve how animals behave and some relate to human traits. Twins reportedly have experiences that are less common in non-twins, with one case reported of two who chose the same clothes and jobs and spouses even though raised without knowedge of the existence of the other. There are other cases equally as interesting. Cases are also reported where twins experience traumatic events of similar nature at about the same time. Other cases report foreknowledge of what is happening or about to happen to the other twin. Despite the large body of such reports there is no current way of explaining them other than by their being coincidental, untrue or fanciful. Stories of animals that foretell disaster and dogs that howl at the death of their owner even when far removed are also common. These tales also meet the same treatment. What is certain is that the current model has no way to validly test the linkage of an event to forewarning signals. There is nothing in the current model that accounts for these forms of knowledge acquisition and without a plausible mechanism there is no ability to adequately test any linkage. My model offers scope for more thorough testing because it provides a mechanism. But behind my mechanism lies a tenet that the Yang is a record of eternity. This may appear incompatibe with the current model and I need to address this factor before proceeding to show what it means for the act of future seeing.

The notion that anything holds a record of all eternity is certainly bizarre but it’s not any more so than things we accept as true in our current model. We accept that all fields stretch across the universe albeit that their intensity falls off with distance from the object with which thay are associated. Now the evidence is quite clear that mass can be converted to energy and vice versa. Whenever matter is transformed into energy then its associated gravitational field instantly disappears from every spot of the universe. There is no gravitational wave and it doesn’t happen over time. Likewise when energy is coverted to matter its field instantly appears everywhere in the universe. This is accepted in the current model without any question. The same is true of the formation or anulment of charge at any point of the universe and when it happens at one point the field associated with that point instantly appears or disappears. So the bizarre nature of my claim is not enough to dismiss it. In fact its truth can be established as the Yang based on the Field behaviour I have mentioned. If my principle is not true then there is no continuity between time and space. I believe I can establish this connection based on the need for any discontinuity to be rendered continuous by a Yang factor. This principle underpins all Physics and is reponsible for the existence of Conservation Laws and makes the value 'c' , the speed of light, the maximum speed possible. This claim I base on two premises one of which is the universe is governed by the continuity of each of its three major classes, mass-energy, location-space and time. The other is that the constants applicable to the Universe are dictated by the creative act inherent in the Big Bang where mass, space and time began. These two tenets acting together establish every equation between the three major classes. Aspects of it are already known to science with the conservation principle of mass and energy being essential to the continuity of all three. I will show some of this on a separate page I am developing. Those parts that I have already written will soon be availablr on a separate site that will be called The Physics of the Yin Yang.

In the above I have tried to show that there is a weak body of evidence that exists in relation to the evolutionary process I propose. While this evidence is anecdotal and really does nothing in establishing my concepts credibility its existence is a necessary precondition if my concept is valid. I have also placed the bizarre nature of the eternal field record at a point in the context of what is already acceptable. This acceptability needs the physics that I claim exists in order to tie in with the evidence on which the current model accepts but to present it in this paper would divert me setting out how it could explain future-seeing abilities in life-forms.

It is my intent in the next paper to discuss what restrictions an eternal record, based on a single point, places on the accessibilty of the future by an evolving lifeform

The First Law of Discontinuity states that A Discontinuity occurs if the value of one concept lies outside the bounds of any other.
The Second Law of Discontinuity states that Resolution of a Discontinuous pair of concepts always involves four new Concepts.
The Third Law of Discontinuity states Each New Concept evolved from a Discontinuity retains a direct path to one of the Discontinuous Pair (Yin).
The Fourth Law of Discontinuity states Each Yin has a Yang offering a path to the opposite Concept .
The Fifth Law of Discontinuity states Every Discontinuity is resolved at the point where the paths from the opposite concepts (Yang) cross each other.
The Sixth Law of discontinuity states The cross over point at every Discontinuity determines the unique value applicable whenever these two new concepts transmute one to the other.
The Seventh Law of discontinuity states After the Discontinuity the properties of the two New Yin's are reduced reflections of the Discontinuous pairs.
The Eighth Law of discontinuity states The reduction in value of each New Yin is equal to that transferred to that of its Yang.

These Eight discontinuity laws ensure the Continuity Law holds.

EVOLUTION OF STRUCTURES THAT MEMORIZE AND RECALL.

Natural selection, the basis of evolution, needs the interaction of living things with the environment i.e stimuli provided by the universe. Everything that can and does pass through an organism is therefore available as a line of evolutionary development. Only those things that destroy the organism are unable to be exploited. The path of past development creates and limits the options for future development. From these few factors the diversity of living forms is explicable.

Central to the process of evolution is the ability of an organism to memorise events and reproduce them at a chosen time. And memory in living things is not just that found in the mind it is held in the seed and in every cell. The chemical record stored in the chromosome is one of the earliest means of achieving memory and this is recalled at the time of reproducing the next generation. The chromosome is itself the product of evolution but even though it is ancient it isn’t outmoded and is still a major evolutionary memory device. And at every step along its history it has trended towards the generation of increasingly complex organisms.

The standard model of evolution sees environmental pressure and random mutation as the drivers of change. There is a stumbling block to the standard models credibility and it is the current emphasis on aberration, a hurdle which is removed if we see the process of evolution as being based on the organism’s natural preference to memorize and recall those experiences that benefit the organism. Aberration is then one way of accelerating change but it isn’t the only one. The act of sexual reproduction produces a new and different chromosome set yet still bears the memories fom the past. This is not an act of aberration but one of variation via the different combinations possible using the union of two halves of gene sets from different individuals. We also see a non-aberration principle at work in the growth of a new creature from the seed of another. Each cell in the mature organism has been generated from the first but it is different to that first cell and can be very different from those found in other parts of that organism. There is a memory of time and environment that sets its characteristics and these are not often changeable even when tranferred from one part of the body to another. There is a pattern handed on from the progenitive cell through each stage of growth and none of these rely on aberrations. Evolution and growth don’t need different models to explain that which is observed of each and the memory-based model I propose allows the same process to apply to each.

For my evolutionary model to work the organism only has to have a means of being aware of time. My Yang record concept offers this ability since it is a record of the fields at a single location in the universe throughout eternity. A property on which evolution begins its earliest work is the memory capabilities of the organism. The nature of the Yang means it has two instances of time where two locations on a curved moving surface will be at the same location of the universe. The motion of the earth through the universe means these two surface locations occur within a fractional part of a second. This is short enough for the chemical sensation of an external stimulus from an earlier instant to be still residual. The residual of the earlier instant thereby becomes part of the instant in time of the second stimulus. Without the Yang it has no way of knowing and no reason to suspect they aren’t one and the same part of reality. But the Yang record with its imprint of fields at each instant acts as an independent, external clock making it possible to sense they are two signals from different times. The chemical associations now change because of the constant repetition of this extra dimension in the experience. So now there is a resonance in memory giving the organism the capacity to compare each stimulus and from this other resonance areas will grow allowing the benefit or otherwise of these stimuli to be gauged. The evolutionary pressure will then extend the length of time over which stimuli are remembered.

The Evolutionary order

There is a logical order to evolutionary development and it comes from expanding the resonance mechanisms that offer benefits at each stage. This dictates the extent to which each of the elements of the Ying and Yang records are utilised by evolution. The Ying with its physical basis is the starting point for evolutionary change but as I have shown it can’t proceed without the clock function of the Yang. Evolution is a dance between the two pillars, Ying and Yang, with Ying aspects the first to advance strongly and then those of the Yang following so that organisms become progressively more able to take advantage of the array of stimuli in its region.

Evolution advances down the two columns. The Ying Column is primary with the Yang embraced as the Ying’s needs dictate.

The human mind is well advanced along these development pillars and draws more than most creatures on the ephemeral stimuli. The origin of those used by humans are maiinly localised in the body, especially the mind. Concepts such as emotions, creativity and reason have evolved allowing man to speak, describe and write. But our development has been shaped during these later evolutionary enhancements as a response to the physical environment where fire, food and water are important. These drivers are dictated by the nature of our earlier devlopment which came about by our ability to walk on land. We would expect that evolution would have emphasised different aspects of the Yang in evoloutionary advanced creatures with different environments and some of these may well have developed memory devices shaped around other Yang property of fields. Gravity, magnetis, electric fields are experienced by all things alive or dead but only living things have the means of exploiting it as a tool. There is good reason to suspect that this has happened but because it is not part of our experience we fail to recognise its signs in full. We do know there are mysteries surrounding migratory behaviour of birds and fish whether it be their ability to navigate back to where they came or return to a spawning place they have never seen. But many land –based mammals also have instinctual behaviour and seem to rely on sensory information for which they could have no memory. The explanation surely lies in the development of memory recall devices tuned to something other than the physical aspect of the environment. Migratory species are much more likely to require the Ying's spatial aspects and for this theYang property of fields more suited than reason and intellect. I believe that the answer lies in the organisms attuning to gravitational and magnetic line properties leading to places whose fields are already imprinted in the organism though evolution. In the case of pigeons and animals that can return unaided to a familiar location the fields are learned but in other species it may be inherited as part of the memory store the DNA transfers from one generation to another.

If these ideas of mine are valid we would expect to find evidence in the world. We would expect to find organisms that can travel over and through featureless environments while knowing exactly where they are and where they are going. Many birds do this over sea and land, as do animals in deserts and fish in murky seas. There is enough evidence to know evolution has succeeded in branching out to senses beyond the physical and the means of its evolving is seen to be resolved using my Ying Yang paradigm. It is a reasonable supposition that evolution blindly expands along all paths available to it.

All of the above is important to establish my frame for any human seeing the future and As my next step I want to show the nature of the Yang records on fields.

The science behind seeing the future.

My aim for this series is to present the physics and biology behind Nostradamus’ future-seeing ability using the new paradigm I introduced in the previous series. At the same I will show the real-world evidence that makes this paradigm worth considering. I will also show how these ideas change the bizarre nature of Nostradamus’ Preface of 1555 and Epistle of 1558 into meaningful descriptions of his method.

In my previous series I developed the concept of the universal Ying and Yang, the Ying being the current paradigm, a model based on instants of time. I was personally satisfied at the end of the last series because the paradigm I had created offered me, for the first time in my life, a satisfactory model able to resolve the many weaknesses I had reasoned were in the current model. And I had achieved one of my goals of showing that parts of the writings of Nostradamus, on his source and role, can be read with meaning based on this new paradigm. This is particularly true of the Preface of 1555 and partially true of the 1558 Epistle.. And those parts of these two documents I haven’t covered have also never had a satisfactory interpretation. They appear error ridden with unknown words entirely of Nostradamus’ making while its tales seem incomprehensibe. It is worth skim-reading these two documents to appreciate these aspects and I have provided links to these documents (above). One part that appears to be out of keeping with my arguments is Nostradamus strong reliance on the planets as though his usage was meant to be an exercise in astrology. I don’t’ believe this is the case and I will later argue that these references are the keystone to understanding how Nostradamus’ device was tuned. Below I present a table summarising the new Ying Yang concept.

The prime Ying concept is that every instant of time throughout eternity is accompanied by a spatial reality that is continuous with that which came before and that which comes after.

The prime Yang concept is that every spot in the universe holds a record of every encounter it has with objects throughout eternity via their fields.

The Yang record is identical whenever we return to it and this provides a useful property for evolution to exploit. In addition the nature of the Yang record defines a new but Ying-complementary mathematics that I claim increases our ability to explain phenomena currently observed but not accorded adequate explanation through the Ying concepts .

Because we live on the Earth there is a need to understand how often we return to the same spot for this determines which part of the Yang record is relevant to man. The motion of the Earth through the universe, as measured from any distant point, causes the Earth’s surface to be cut at only two nearby locations (1 location only when distance apart is zero). This is easily demonstrated by simple geometry as shown alongside. Its truth also embraces relative motion but other special situations may then occur.

But my Yang and Ying are cosmic in nature requiring a heavier treatment in the science of physics than is needed for an understanding of its meaning in human terms. The human experience is all in the mind and relates to memory and perception. What lies in the mind is not images built of life, matter, space and time but neurons and electro-chemicals that enable us to store and recall through the art of patterned electro-chemical resonances.

The mind is an indescribably brilliant thing which aided by equally complex sensing instruments such as nerves , eyes, ears, nose, and flesh, filters the universe. By these filters the storage-recall mechanisms only receive that which affects the functioning of that life-form. One of the things we know about stored memory is that it breaks the constraints of our physical reality. The primary attribute of our relation to the universe is that it only has reality at a single instant of time. We have evidence that suggests it exists before and after that instant and we accept that but we can only be aware of reality at one instant of time. Perception based on an instant takes what exists and records it in a slightly later existence. All that we would be able to achieve if the Yang didn’t exist is a record of light,shade, colour, 2-dimensional shapes, hardness, state, temperature etc plus any other sensations upon our receptors that our structures can record and recall. And the recoding made in memory would be at a later time that the organism would register as the present. We know that our mind does more than the Ying perspective allows since it records things which have no meaning in a universe locked into an instant. Speed, direction, emotion, 3-dimensions are stored even though they exist only by association with different times. We cannot suggest that the mind uses an internal clock as this too would rely on an external time source and the capacity to translate the passage of time. The mind’s efficiency comes not from its ever-increasing data but though its ability to store conceptual reference. And it is sophistry when we explain this as the brain patterning successive images since we are really just explaining the inexplicable by giving it a name that says it is a special branch of the inexplicable. The Yang offers the neatest explanation of the mind’s capacity for this type of storage-recall since it allows it access to a time record involving two and only two locations on the Earth’s surface. This is a pragmatic frame around which evolution can build its devices. All the mind has to do is know how to filter these two times from the totality of its records and such environmental filters are what evolution is great at creating.

In each instance of time that a living thing exists we already recognise it has inflow of Ying-based knowledge of space and mass-energy. The filter at nature’s disposal for the Yang-record can’t use these, instead it utilizes the differences in the fields of gravity, electricity and magnetism. In building the Yang-based record no physical barriers are recognisable since it is only a position through which things pass. It is the fields that lie inside and outside objects that are the elements of the Yang record. This is very different to the Ying record which is based on matter and spatial location and the ability for masses to occupy the same space. The powerful thing that the matter-transparency of the Yang offers is a means of associating mass and space time via its record of fields. The mind can therefore have two instants of time for every physical encounter. From this evolution has built its strorage-recall devices which allow many organisms to go beyond physical reality. This ability to go beyond the instant is what distinguishes life from other material in the universe.

I have now presented my case that the mind, while located at one instant in time, has knowledge of two points of earth location and that it can tie this to two slightly separated instants in time. The integration of these two streams from the Ying and Yang records is an elegantly simple way of explaining the capacities of the mind in relation to time-dependent concepts such as motion.

This solution is evidence of my Ying-Yang concept’s utility which justifies its use. I chose to write on this particular aspect of my model since the properties explored above will prove important in my presentation of the mechanics of future-seeing.

The metaphysics of the Yang

Let us assume for the sake of practical illustration that Nostradamus’ medium was one with which we are familiar, a device for translating electromagnetic signals into images and sound. Immediately we know that this is possible and we know how clear and convincing are the stories we perceive when we look at small parts of the spectrum utilised by man. We also should know that throughout the universe there are continuous electromagnetic emissions and every one of those emissions will continue moving throughout time until it reaches the ends of the universe. In passing it is worth commenting on how awesome is this eternal, invisible and omnipresent essence and it has totally unexpected properties only uncovered in the last few centuries. I emphasise this awesome nature because when we have a device to read these signals we tend to take for granted what emerges, reducing it to everyday ho-humness. When we watch TV or receive input over the internet we don’t see it as celestial guidance and nor should we, it is as earthly as its creators, our fellow men. And it is as valuable and fallible as those men intended.

Nostradamus’ writings imply his device locks into another signal that involves time itself, a medium which is not seen as commonplace today. His description of the nature of this device implies it requires deep thought and a surface, such as water in a brass tripod, against which the mind might cast its images. If such a device can be used the credibility of the material that emerges from it is subject to the same weaknesses as electromagnetic signals which don’t inevitably signal truth by the fact of their being part of such an awesome media.

However, now or in the future, there may be persons to whom God the Creator, through fanciful impressions, wishes to reveal some secrets of the future, integrated with judicial astrology [star positions]…

It is manifested chiefly by two means, which are contained in the understanding of the inspired one who prophesies One comes by infusion, clearing the supernatural light for the person who predicts by astronomy, making it possible to predict through inspired revelation. The other is a fixed participation of the divine eternity. By means of it the Prophet comes to judge what has been given him by his divine spirit, through God the creator and his natural intuition.

So that what is predicted, and is true, has an ethereal origin. This light and the thin flame are altogether efficacious and are of heavenly origin no less than natural light… Preface 1555

It is clear from the above that Nostradamus rates his source as impeccable but recognises it passes through the human mind. Nostradamus takes what he sees and writes it into verse but it only becomes prophecy when he gives it a date calculated from the stars associated with the event. This too he claims to have incorporated into his prophetic verses.

I have commented on how we perceive things that once would have been considered magic as mundane when they become commonplace. However underlying these phenomena there is usually an even deeper mystery to cause us awe. This should be kept in mind as I proceed for I want to give a context to the concept of my proposed Yang. When we turn on a TV the electromagnetic waves don’t choose what we will watch, the waves just exist with bizarre properties of being invisible and a mixture of an infinite array of signals. It is us that turn on the TV and select the part of the sepctrum which is of interest. As we do this the electrical dimensions of the rocks contained in the TV change to the point where they resonate with the selected part of the spectrum and are amplified by these same rocks. They are delivered to other rocks and liquids that glow and vibrate thereby making images and sounds. The TV has no choice as to what it does nor does its components. In nature resonance is what changes randomness into pattern and man has learnt to exploit many of these . When you blow across a bottle there will be emitted a musical sound if you have the art of finding the right speed to blow. The shape of the bottle is critical to this pattern and determines what speed is needed but it doesn’t choose whether it sounds the note or not. This is the critical element to all things in the universe, the loopholes to randomness whereby physical attributes are arranged into patterns. AND THAT IS THE ESSENCE OF THE YANG, the primordial set of rules that govern all things, the beautiful maths of awesome equations. The Yang is true for all time and without it there is no existence. The Yang does not choose to set the rules, the rules are what it is and matched with the Ying, mass and time evolve into the universe as we know it. The Yang is the timeless patterning inherent in the universe causing even that which seems random to be patterned. Fractals illustrate the Yang’s extent as does the evolution of the planets and of life. The Yang defines what happens when randomness meets structure and there is no choice whether it is to happen or it is not, if the conditions are right the Yang creates according to its immutable nature. The lack of choice doesn’t limit variety but there is only one timeless record by which time proceeds, that of the Yang. It is the Yang that can make possible the seeing of the future. When its omnipresent essence is in tune with certain structures in certain conditions it always responds as would an electromagnetic wave. In this sense there is no freewill for the timeless one, the Yang, since it is a single record of all history; what was, what is and what will be; the product of the responses evoked into being by its laws.

I believe that Nostradamus claims that he was in touch with the essence of all time, the timeless patterns, are worthy of testing against my concept of the Yang. And the evidence from Nostradamus’ own words gives us further clues as to what to test since he refers to its impact on the higher functions of his brain. The results of patterning I find in his work suggest it may also be in all written works, in all creative activity including music. My hypothesis would imply that we will find less randomness, more order, than reason would suggest in all expressions of human thought and that there may well be a form of fractal pattern of the mind.

Natural resonance between the Yang and the elements of the Ying brings order out of chaos.
The Yang generates greatest resonance within components of the Ying that are closest to its own image.
The images of Yang are the highest points the Ying achieves (as seen in life and the DNA spiral).
The basis of religion is man’s subliminal appreciation of the Yang.

The missing universal Yang.

If we are to test whether Nostradamus could have seen the future we need to postulate a concept that even today is unproven. In stating this it is important to note modern understanding of the universe and its origin is not written in stone. In fact there are more acknowledged questions today than at any time in the past where the scientists are prepared say We have no evidence at all about this event. We only know that there must be new laws and new concepts to explain anomalies we have found. The Higgs Boson falls into this category. This boson is a hypothetical concept that could explain anomalies in the properties of the fundamental parts of mass and energy. It is not known to exist but tests around the World are aimed at finding it. The postulates scientist make are necessary because every framework has its own logical properties and these can be explored even while the frame is unproven. For example electricity was in practical use long before the electron, the carrier of charge, was found.

In order to present this concept for this section I wrote a paragraph two days ago to show the basic elements needed in order to make seeing into the future possible. I was also going to write a paragraph on how this manifests itself in the writings, thought and inspirations of humans. The paragraph is given below:

Let us assume that from the beginning the universe comprises two parts, one of which manifests itself as mass and energy diffused throughout the flow of time and the other comprises all-time from the universes existence to its destruction. Electromagnetic waves unite the mass-energy model and similarly there may be a wave that unites the time mass-energy model in which instances of time convert to a minutely small mass-energy. Together the sum of these, the ying and yang of creation and existence , should be a constant. The first of these instances, the Ying, is the way we currently see the universe, the second a mode which cosmologists may well be forced to utilise to explain the mystery of dark matter. The second mode would imply that although its wave has minute mass-energy the total sum throughout time is finite and massive. From the perspective of beings like us that evolve within the first mode this second mode would appear invisible since it covers all time, a dimension we cannot interpret. But what we would perceive at any instance of time would be the sum of its mass throughout existence; it then appears as an invisible finite mass-energy similar to that inexplicable phenomenon which present-day science calls dark-matter… Allan Webber 3^rd Jan 20111

In the previous sections of this series I showed how Nostradamus’ writings embraced concepts, unknown in his day, but recognisable by us of the 21^st Century. The following section for example is interpretable by us in terms of electromagnetic waves and their influence on matter and energy.

… the prophetic heat and power approaches us like the rays of the sun, which cast their influences on bodies both elementary and non-elementary. Preface 1555

In making the point that we should expect to find things in Nostradamus that were ahead of his time I should have also said and ahead of ours. To any 16^th Century reader of his work there would be no meaning to Nostradamus’ remarks and they would therefore be dismissed as part of a mystical rant. It is the same in our time when we read his work and I was struck when I wrote the above paragraph how it changed my perception of some parts in Nostradamus writing that seem nonsensical even today. The following passage for example is a strong parallel to the ideas in my own paragraph.

For the incomprehensible secrets of God and their effective virtue are contingent on the long expanse of natural knowledge deriving their immediate origin from liberal thinking. This brings about the appearance of causes which of themselves could not attract enough attention to be known, neither by human augury, nor by any other hidden knowledge or virtue comprised under the concavity of heaven, even fom the present fact of all eternity, which comes in itself to embrace all time. But through some indivisible eternity and by means of Herculean agitation, the causes of celestial movements are made known. Preface 1555

Buoyed by this unexpected parallelism I am now prepared to expand upon the conclusions that arise from such a concept and what they would mean for the art of seeing the future.

Special boundaries applicable to those who claim to see the future.

The principle of reduction to absurdity is extremely useful in addressing possible combinations of facts. For instance I would argue that if Nostradamus was able to see the future then his mindset wouldn’t be that of a 16^th century person since the mindset is a product of experience and interaction with others. If we were then to try to interpret Nostradamus’ prophecies by assuming things that would limit a 16^th century author we must also assume he couldn’t see the future. It would be preposterous that the future could be seen but that the knowledge from it couldn’t be used or absorbed. In the case of a future-seer mistakes of ignorance would be minimal and things like astrology would be known as being of little practical use. The evolution of ideas and the discovery of ancient materials would be available to the future-seer, thereby shattering the foundations of the 16^th Century Church. The idea of Jesus as immortal would have to go as would the concepts of his return and an imminent end-of-days. The many other fallacies of religion imposed by the church leaders would also be known. At the very best the religiosity of Nostradamus would be as a Gnostic. If a person believes Nostradamus is a prophet or could see the future then it is folly to try and prove that his purpose involved ancient religious ends.

It is also true for investigators of Nostradamus’ prophetic abilities as well as those who are convinced Nostradamus’ Prophecies apply to our times. For example no researcher should assume that Nostradamus’ writing, his knowledge or his language has to be based in the 16^th century because such a stance is bad science. It is bad because by this assumption the researcher automatically assumes the future has had no impact on the seer with the inevitable result that what could serve as proof is excluded from the start. I am a researcher into Nostradamus’ prophetic ability and at this point of time I neither believe nor disbelieve he had any but I do believe that there is evidence in Nostradamus’ works that shows he saw into the future. I have already shown in the previous section statements by Nostradamus that back my position and it is his words that surely are the most telling. These should set the ground rules for any testing of his work and they lead to some quite unusual boundaries for any investigation.

It is quite true Sire , that my natural instinct has been given to me by my ancestors, who did not believe in predicting, and that this natural instinct has been adjusted and integrated with long calculations. Epistle 1558

I do not wish to assume for myself a title so sublime for the present. For he who is now called a prophet was once called a seer. Strictly speaking my son, a prophet is one who sees things remote from the natural knowledge of men. And it can happen that the prophet, by means of the perfect light of the prophecy appearing before him, thinks he sees things divine as well as human, but this cannot be for the effects of future prediction extend far. .. Preface 1555

We should also take careful note of Nostradamus references to astrology for they show he disdained that art. His frequent mention to stars is nearly always linked to the term astronomy and to calculations. There is a great difference between the two terms today although it wasn’t always so. An astrologer sees the stars position and alignments as shaping the fortunes of an individual man at a particular time while an astronomer sees the stars position and alignments as applying to time alone. There is no doubt that there are influences of the planets on both living and non-living things but they don’t support astrology as a credible source of knowledge. For instance we know the cycles of animals are somewhat attuned to the phases of the moon as are the tides. But these few cases are established from credible evidence and their rules apply to all, not a randomly selected few. Nostradamus couldn’t have held astrology as important to his writing if he could see into the future for he would know its true worthlessness. He might foresee planetary disaster, strikes by comets and asteroids but they are results he had seen not signs by which he could forecast what might happen. There is a great difference between seeing an event and noticing the stars at that time and prophesying an event when you have only seen the stars. And there is a reason why Nostradamus would have looked for the distant stars when he saw an event and it is that they provide the only calendar that is universal. The date in any calendar system can be calculated precisely if you understand planetary and star movement and it will aways be the same point no matter what the system. Nostradamus art was that of astronomy. Although he complied with the fashion of the time by giving a few horoscopes he did so reluctantly and his work in this area was reputedly very lacking in an understanding of that art. Through his own words we can conclude Nostradamus was not an astrologer which is the only stance that is consistent with his being able to see the future. If we were able to prove his words untrue about his disdain of astrology we would know he had no insight into the future, the two things are incompatible.

I caution you especially against the vanity of the more than execrable magic condemned of yore by theHoly Scriptures and by the Canons of the Church. However judicial astrology(positioning of the stars) is excepted… Preface 1555

Any assumption that Nostradamus’s works are reliant on 16^th Century knowledge is likewise an immediate refutation of the idea he could see into the future. For instance if we assume his work takes anything substantial from the hermetic tradition then our methodology is flawed. But just as we shouldn’t assume a reliance on outmoded practice we must test for things from the future. It would be a disproof that he could see into the future if there were no evidence of this type embedded in his work. I believe his description of his process can be seen as an account of a technology we would recognise today. The fact that such an interpretation can be given doesn’t prove anything what it does is remove an argument for disproof. That is also true of the anagrams found in Nostradamus’ work. The individual appearance of a modern term however complex doesn’t prove anything by itself but if the works of a claimant to the art of seeing-the-future had no such words we would immediately know he was a fraud. We must expect that if Nostradamus could see into the future he would have the capacity to shape language and image to that of modern times. And importantly those who would seek to refute evidence showing the works contain modern data, arguing that Nostradamus couldn’t know it, are missing the point. It is improper to dismiss evidence, that if the hypothesis were true, must necessarily be there and the absence of which, not its presence, would offer a fair basis for dismissing the hypothesis.

But we cannot presume that the finding of words makes Nostradamus a prophet, nor that being able to see into the future makes what is seen true; there are many hurdles before the seeing of something in the future can be accepted as a reflection of something that will happen. The method and medium by which the information is attained are critical to the value of the information gained. Nostradamus’ work must stand the modern tests we would apply to all means of communication, we must know how credible is its source and we need to classify its content correctly as a factual occurrence, myth or fiction to know its worth. The ability of the communicator to make such distinctions on our behalf is crucial and these issues are amongst those things I will address in my next sections.

The remarkable modernity of Nostradamus

Michel de Nostredame seems to have been very precise in his choice of words and it benefits the analysis if we heed his choice rather than impose new words more suited to any preconceptions of Nostradamus. By reading his description in his prophecies we can see the following claims are made by Nostradamus;

I am not a prophet and would never claim to be.
However I have the means of seeing things in the future including events.
I can also see the distant stars in the sky.
From these images of the stars I can calculate the occurrence of each event.
I have written the events I have seen into quatrains and included my calculations based on the stars.

I see all these things as though they are in a burning, cloudy mirror.

This mirror allows me to see the stars at a distance no further than a body length from me.

The events and images I experience arrive like emissions from the sun.

Despite the abilities that let me do this I am a mortal with very human capabilities.

What gifts I have are limited to what any human can know of events in time.

Read the above carefully and judge whether they accurately reflect what Nostradamus said. Do this because it is important in the realisation of how credible Nostradmus is. The credibility comes from the fact that the above very precisely details experiences that you and I have every day.

I, the author of this paper, am right now sitting alone in the study of secret works, looking at a screen that has light, like a burning mirror. Out of the darkness of the screen comes images and sound making possible things that earlier times would find hard to believe. On the screen I often have the images of the stars at no greater distance than my body length generated by a program whose calculations allow me to see the stars in the past, present and future. I can see events of the past and present, remote from where I am but I am no prophet. I am mortal using a technology that limits what I can see. I can even see the future but these are images of Dr Who and An Inconvenient Truth.

We can know by our own experiences that such things are possible and the surprising thing is how closely Nostradamus describes a technology similar to our own. We tend to take for granted things that in reality are quite bizarre, quite marvellous. The images we see and hear on a TV, radio, mobile phone or computer come without a sensible connection to their source. All around you and passing through you are the couriers of these images. They are everyhere but can you see, touch, hear, taste or smell them? Can you sense them at all, these divine angels of the modern day? No, you need a means built out of rock. Your life centres around rocks that both speak and display images but you discount it as ordinary, not biblical, not even very special but in truth what we experience as everyday is what in olden days were considered miracles. And these angels of the modern day are exactly of the type Nostradamus describes; they are like rays from the sun since the waves that carry light and heat are also electromagnetic waves.

It would be foolish to then jump to conclusions about the sophistication and origin of Nostradamus' technology. The best guide is Nostradamus own admission he is a mortal and therefore not from space or any other exotic source. He also clearly states it is vision and sound that he experiences so he is no time-traveller with physical access to future technology. The only claim he makes is to the skills of his ancestors. In the beginning of the preface of 1555 he states he left his work in writing because time would wear and erode that which he wanted to share with his infant son. These are as close we come to knowing what the device was that he used.

We are so used to the sophistication of our modern devices that we can easily overlook that very simple materials can achieve much the same result. During the second World War, soldiers carefully touched a rusty wire to a piece of crystal and successfully heard these awesome words “This is London..”

It is also presumptuous to assume that Nostradamus’ means is a form of electromagnetic wave in the range that we know and use. It is not any more inconceivable that his wave includes the dimension of time than that man could hear voices and see images from a rock. Just as understanding the burning rate of the sun needed knowledge of nuclear fusion our understanding of Nostradamus means may need to await greater insights into the links between time and space.

Nostradamus credibility is not under threat by his descriptions but enhanced because we do know that as time has passed skills once thought impossible have come into being.

On the credibility of Michel de Nostredame’s writings.

I have held the belief for several years that I have found the key to decoding Nostradamus’ work and I have stated so on many occasions. However at no point have I claimed I had proof that Nostradamus was a prophet nor have I ever claimed he wasn’t. The two things are separate aspects in the sense that while both may be true, Nostradamus’ prophetic ability or inability is independent of his work being coded. However his ability to prophesy is tied into the existence of code since it goes to the critical element of Nostradmus’ credibility. In a similar vein it is possible Nostradamus could see into the future but not be a prophet and this too is linked to his credibility.

Nostradamus’ credibility is critical because he is the only authority that knew what his aims were; an inevitable consequence of a secret process. It is absurd for anyone to claim that they have unravelled his work by ignoring what he claims. It is an extreme folly to suggest his obscure writing was a quirk of personality or a shield against the unenlightened. Excuses for the author’s inadequate presentation destroy the vision needed to understand his work. Where there are words of no known meaning, seemingly meaningless verse, misspelt names and other distortions it is too easy to claim a personality quirk, a fear of the inquisition and all these are just excuses devoid of reason. Excuses place the writings outside the testing of the evidence, evading the scrutiny that a reason must undergo. It is when we accept the writing holds a code that we can see why it has such an awkward appearance. This is no excuse for it allows the quirkiness of the writings to be part of any test. It is testing that generates evidence not conjecture and I use the lettering of the prophecies with the minimum of alteration. I can go further and say I am deeply reliant on the words of Nostradamus as my source and my guide, not the interpretations generated by others that remove the original lettering or discard verses they consider mystic or too obscure.

Any work, whether it be coded or not, tends to have its key tenets set out early in the presentation while the conclusions tend to give summaries, overviews and projections. It is for this reason that I pay particular attention to Nostradamus’ commentaries in the beginnings of the prefaces to his work. Some from the beginning of the first Preface of 1555 which seem pertinent are given below.

Events of human origin are uncertain, but all is regulated and governed by the inestimable power of God, inspiring us not through drunken fury, nor by sluggish movement, but by astronomic assertions.

By means of the immortal God, and his good Angels, the spirit of prophecy is received, by which prophets see distant things and foresee future events… the prophetic heat and power approaches us like the rays of the sun, which cast their influences on bodies both elementary and non-elementary.

Hidden prophecies come to one by the subtle spirit of fire, sometimes through the understanding being disturbed in contemplation of the remotest of stars, while remaining alert.

Human understanding being created intellectually, cannot see hidden things unless aided by the voice coming from limbo via the thin flame, showing in what direction future events incline.

What I want to make clear to you is the judgement obtained through the celestial ones I indicate.to you. By this one has knowledge of future events while rejecting completely all fantastic things one may imagine. With divine and supernatural inspiration integrated with astronomical computations one can name places and periods of time accurately, By means of this past, present and future become but one eternity.

Not that I would assume the name or power of a prophet but as a mortal man moved no further from the Celestial than his feet are from the ground.

And in the Preface of 1558 there is much of the same with the following being a worthy sample:

As for myself I would never claim such a title [as a prophet], never, please God. I readily admit that all proceeds from God and render Him thanks, honor and immortal praise. I have mixed therewith no divination coming from fate. All from God and nature and for the most part accompanied by the movements along the celestial course. It is much like seeing in a burning mirror, with clouded vision, the great events, sad, phenomenal and calamitous events that will approach those of the principal cultures.

Compare the message in the first two verses to that above and we see the same patterns emerge.

In Pursuit of the Absurd

For some time I have known that I should write a commentary on what I think I’m uncovering about Nostradamus, his works and its relevance to the world. I have refrained from doing so because in truth I don’t know and my thoughts are speculation. I do have a much clearer idea of what it isn’t and cannot be which are pertinent if we are to find the technique and mechanism involved. Over the 2010 end-of-year holiday period I have been asked to address this issue and this series will attempt to do that.

I cannot emphasise enough my awareness of the absurdity of my claims in respect to my findings in Nostradamus’ Prophecies. Yet this is no deterrent to my efforts for reasons which I will attempt to justify.

The absurd is a well appreciated phenomenon in science and it is one that serves us well when we attempt to understand Nostradamus. There is a principle called ‘reduction to absurdity’ that is often used in logical argument and its strengths and weaknesses are very applicable to my topic. For instance it is logically absurd to claim Nostradamus saw visions of the future and wrote his work to be a warning to mankind in the 21^st century. There is an obvious flaw since a warning is only of any benefit if by intervention the future can be changed which renders the Prophecy false. There is also a deeper issue involving the nature of time. If it is possible to change one event then we can change any and this would imply multiple futures. If it can be changed and it doesn’t include mutiple futures then Nostradamus’ Prophecies must again be false. To cover the period of 500 years since he wrote his work Nostradamus would have had to build in infinite versions of the future. Such a possibility is clearly absurd.

But the reduction to absurdity has its limits and these are highly significant in this unusual case of a man who claimed an ability not recognised by orthodoxy. I would like to approach this idea of limitations by using a tale loosely based on one in the classics. It is possible to argue that if a son was to challenge his father to a race and gave his father a head start then he can never overtake his father. The classical argument goes like this. The son has to run the distance by which he’s behind his father but in that time his father has got ahead of him. The son now has to cover that distance but his father is once more ahead of him. The father will always be ahead of the son no matter how many times we do this process. Therefore at no point that we can see will the son be ahead of the father. It is a perfectly logical argument and it really doesn’t have a flaw, what it does have however is a constraint that prevents progress to undertanding. The method of analysis takes shorter and shorter time periods that never get to the time where the son and father are at the same place.

What has this to do with understanding Nostradamus? I would argue a great deal since you cannot answer the question of whether Nostradamus was genuine or a fraud if you confine your view to the idea that the premises on which its based are improbable and illogical. But isn’t logic and probability the basis of science? No, logic and probabilty are aids to science and secondary to something else as shown by many examples in the history of science.

Two hundred years ago the principle of reduction to the absurd was turned against science in respect to arguments about the age of the universe. Those arguing for the Bible claimed the earth was formed a few millennia before Christ was born, science claimed geology showed the earth was vastly older than this. Those arguing for the shorter age used the Sun to prove the case based on its being a burning object. If the sun was a normal object burning by a normal process then, they argued, the sun must once have been vastly bigger, so vast in fact that it filled the space between the earth and the sun. Their argument was valid since what the scientist lacked was evidence that could prove otherwise which didn’t come until the phenomenon of nuclear fusion was known to man. The principle of reduction to the absurd doesn’t necessarily resolve what is true. This isn’t the only weakness of the principle.

In the early 17^th century a man stood on the Leaning Tower of Pisa with two objects destined to destroy the notion that the prime foundation of science is logic and probability. Up to that time it had been a cornerstone of belief about the nature of matter that a heavy object will fall faster than a lighter one. This was not questioned for it was reasonable and the Greek philosophers had raised the process of thought to be the pinnacle from which the world could be understood. Galileo could never have challenged this by logic and reason alone; what he did was produce evidence that the world didn’t behave as predicted. In so doing he produced motivation to find out why it was so and from this quest came our understanding of gravity and relativity. In this case as in many others the consequence of taking up what evidence shows to be true rather that what reason claims was profound and it is evidence that is the prime concern of science, not preconception, mindset or reason.

I consider the above as important for those who wish to know my goals. My work on Nostradamus prophecies achieves results that must be examined by the rules of evidence not by the seeming absurdity of what they show. I consider that if my work can stand the scrutiny of the evidence then it may offer much about the nature of time. But like those who understood the import of the geological record in dating the existence of the earth, I am not in possession of the knowledge that tells me how. What I am capable of knowing is the status of the evidence and that will be the subject of my next article.
